  1. modelsport had the same price and showed in stock a few wks back so i ordered 1 only to be told they havnt even had any in stock,i think they noticed the mistake and didnt want to sell at that price as it went straight out of stock after this and still is

  2. i have noticed if u use a pinion made by hpi,the grub screws likes to come loose, and thats even with threadlock on,its happened twice now resulted in chewed spurs.

when using traxxas pinions i have never had any come loose, and they are a lot wider fitting on the spur

dont understand it esp for the price the hpi pinions cost

  3. yes i feel the stock motor is good, motor temps on a full 6s pack esc usually 87-90 f

motor 130f and thats on 19/50

    usually bit lower on 17/50

did find on 19/50 the x maxx turns into a wheelie machine so i like 17/50

  4. james1986 u will enjoy the max 6,so much better esc,i have never had another thermal since using it,watch out for the brakes if ur keeping the esc stock as it flips the xmaxx very easy, also i had to increase the reverse as not very fast in stock form.

im using 19/50 also 17/50 without problems

  5. tell me about it,im just ****** that traxxas offer firmware upgrades for usa side and nowt for us,surely we all need the upgrade, but when they knew the spartan esc was causing problems they were quick to fix, what does it have to take before they realise the esc in the x maxx is not up to the job,i just hope it doesnt take a death before they act properly on this situation

i love traxxas products but everytime i run the maxx im crossing my fingers the esc wont go up,i shouldnt have to carry a big bottle of water around with me.

  6. traxxas released a video showing how to tell if your esc needed updating,if it flashed red twice when you turned it off it didn't need the update,i know mine does and i have had no problems so far
