  1. I think I'll go for the Traxxas ones first they have the spline so it should be a perfect fit
  2. I just had another look at the Geminis and found a picture of the Hex, it is made to fit on the Hex conversion, maybe I'll try them instead of the Pro-Lines? I was thinking of getting the Pro-line Desperados with 1/2 offset along with the Pro-lines Shockwaves, any opinions?
  3. I think any hex would get demolished if the wheel nut came of lol I will give the Pro-lines a go, maybe I am over-tightening them which makes the Rim's Hex ''flex'' and ''spread'' a bit which would explain the cracking ...
  4. I wouldn't run alloys it'll destroy the whole drive train :/ but that's what I thought I'm not sure what the new 17mm Hex Traxxas rims look like around the back I was trying to find pictures to see if they are to slot right onto the traxxas 17mm hex conversion because that would make sence... Saying that if any of you guys have the new 17mm Hex Traxxas Gemini could you guys share a picture of the hex?
  5. The stock Traxxas rims cracked from jumping too much lol so I saw the Warlocks on here and decided to try them they were great but obviously the Hexes started splitting, so hopefully I wont have any problems with Pro-Line, never heard anything bad about them so we'll see
  6. hmm that's weird maybe it's just my luck, I'll go for Pro-Lines next, thanks for all the help guys
  7. yes I tried using thread lock but still the same, the problem isn't that a wheel nut is coming loose, basically the hex cracks on two or more places (if you could imagine what the hex looks like, the walls crack ) and it lets the hex on the truck spin inside the rim's hex
  8. no it slots in fine, quite a snug fit but not tight at all and it doesn't ''wiggle'' or ''move'' inside not sure how to explain it exactly but it is a perfect fit
  9. http://lcdn.dollarhobbyz.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/450x450/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/r/e/revo_wheel_nuts_1.jpg these are the ones that I have
  10. The wheel was still tight when I tried this, so I'm thinking that because it has splines on the hexes there isn't enough surface area, is that possible? I checked quite a few forums I haven't seen anyone with the same problem, and he new e-revo and I think e-maxx use the same hex conversion...
  11. It's definitely on the right way around (not being cheeky) I don't think you can put it on the wrong way. at first I thought I was tightening the wheel nut too much so I tightened it and loosen it about a quarter of a turn and put tiny bit of glue on the thread that didn't help...
  12. I got a brushless E-revo running on 4s and I upgraded to 17mm HPI warlock rims. I went through about 4 sets of wheels for maybe 10 packs... I want to upgrade to proline rims but should I change the 17mm hexes to one's that are not splined? The traxxas ones have slots in them? I don't want to glue my brand new tyres to the brand new rims and split the hex after a couple of packs.... Any ideas? Thanks
  13. yeah I think that's the problem RCbutcher, I'm getting some Desperados and Shockwaves soon
  14. no, I'm using the Traxxas 17mm hex converters, these ones -> http://www.modelsport.co.uk/traxxas-wheel-hubs-and-nuts-splined-17mm-blue-anodized-4-/rc-car-products/30545
  15. I have a brushless E-revo with a Ripper 2000kv running 4/5/6s lipos ... I have HPI Warlock Wheels, the hexes keep splitting after 1-2 runs... I'm not doing crazy jumping or hitting curbs... I thought HPI are supposed to have good products, these wheels are compatible with the Savage... Any ideas of why that's happening ? Thanks
  16. Sorry what longer chassis are you talking about?
  17. they look sick xD I have the Blue version so I think if I do that it'll look awesome, what paint did you use?
  18. hi can you let me know how these new wheels handle? I'm trying to decide what to get for my E-revo as an upgrade, I'm between the mashers and the shockwaves, obviously on desperado wheels
  19. it's okay fella, I'll keep the ones for now and get another two to keep me going, I need to buy a new ESC... the old one set on fire xD
  20. and I was just wondering because for
  21. I don't like the look of the Badlands on the E-revo :/ I prefer the more beasty look
  22. don't really fancy the Trenchers, too much traction... diffs will be gone quite quick on a 5s. How much do you want for them and what wheels are they on?
