  1. ye its just blocked off mate chris
  2. best alloy is 7075 but its hard to get in the uk. best bet for you is 4mm 6082 t6. yes it has now got a nipple on the right pipe. its drilled and tapped and then screwed in chris
  3. some more pics of the progress polished the chassis though i dont know why as first time out it will be ruined throttle linkage brakes and steering all setup and working decided to change the layout of the steering servo this time for better response chris
  4. it will be fine to leave it as it is. you will get more top speed the larger the wheels but acceleration will slower. chris
  5. with lots of measurements, marking, cutting with a hacksaw drilling and filing measure twice cut once chris
  6. decided it was time to make a new chassis for the twin as there were a few problems with the old one. most of all it was made from a very soft standard grade alloy. i wanted to use a 7075 alloy but was unable to get any in the uk, so had to use the next best option which is 6082 t6 grade, very strong robust. anyway started with this a sheet of alloy after just over 8 hours with the aid of a bench drill, dremmel, hack saws, markers, scribers and files i had managed to come up with this. just to make sure everything lined up ok before i started fitting all the servos etc i built up all the running gear and engines. still needs a lot of work but will keep posting my progress. this chassis will be for basic bashing when i have the new center gearbox i will build another chassis for top speeds. let me know what you all think chris
  7. hmm dont remember any other results just this one. but like i said happylad was driving and turnerboy was recording and thats what the speed gun recorded. chris
  8. it was turnerboy who took the reading mate. all above board a true speed result chris
  9. its pretty easy to setup realy as both engines will be at WOT most of the time, aslong as you set the linkage so they reach full throttle at the same time, their shouldn't be a major imballance. then you temperature check the engines, the hottest engine is obviously working the hardest so the other needs tunning better, keep going until the they both run at aprox the same and thats it "sorted" chris
  10. Will get some pics up later for the linkage bigger wheels is an option and i did try them on the car with the old engines. problem is that the rotational mass is much greater so you lose quite a bit of power there both engines drive both front and rear, the engines have to be set up and ballanced so they both power up equally chris this is the video of it running with the two .21 rb engines in click here
  11. ye their schumacher racing onroad filters, no good for offroad bashing but the orange rb filters looked pants with the blue engines. i will get a pair of new filters once its ready to bash but i'm still running the engines in at the moment so no panick. gearing is the next option to sort out, at the moment it will do about 75mph but will get to that speed in just a couple of seconds. what i realy need is a 1:1 ration from clutch to spur gear, this will give me a potential 124 mph at 32000 rpm realistcally anything near the ton mark would be great. once i have got at least 1/2 gallon on each engine i will start tunning the gearing and probably redesigning the chassis. chris
  12. ye its started using a starter box one engine at a time should be up and running soon, so will get a video of it poste on here chris
  13. decided to upgrade the twin mp777 as i wanted even more power . it now has 2 x picco .28 team edition engines. the gearing at the moment is still the same 22t bells and 46t so top end is not going to be any different at the moment, but i will be trying to upgrade when the engines have been tested and set up. here are a few pics of the progress so far. this time i have installed a pressure feed of the right engines pipe so i can run each engine idependently. plus if this works well it will allow me to use 2 seperate fuel tanks. still needs a bit more work this is the old twin mp777 most of you will have seen it but all the newbies here it is and this is the upgrade's chris
  14. i will be there 10:30 to set up the ramps etc. e.thirteen i have some 16% fuel i dont use so if you get yourself down you can use that. chris
  15. scot is it the wrong time of the month for you chris
