  1. We do everything mate, and supply to some big names! Hope the mods don't mind me posting this, but this is my works website..... https://www.cromwell.co.uk/ Cheers KingPin
  2. +1 on that. I work for a popular industrial tooling company and we have to send a lot of items all round the UK and Overseas and have contracts with most courier services. We always make the parcels as substantial as possible and make a point of not charging the customer any extra packaging costs, as it's better for both parties. It's frightening how many distribution hubs and sorting depots just one parcel can visit from A to B! KingPin
  3. Oops, what I was going to say is I live in Chaddesden, just near The Racecourse. P.S keep putting pressure on your mum for that short-course track! KingPin
  4. Hi mate, where abouts in Derby are you? I'm always up for a meet with a fellow rc nut! Congrats on the twins. KingPin
  5. Hi mate, can't comment on the Tiger Shark. But......I got two HBX clones of the Tamiya Baja King a couple of years ago and although the parts are the same physically, the quality isn't. The plastic parts feel more brittle, and the gearbox internals weren't moulded as precise as the genuine tamiya parts. I ended up swapping all the gearing from HBX to tamiya, and limiting the speed to just a mild brushed motor. Kind regards KingPin
  6. Don't suppose your after any trades? Got all kinds of stuff mate..... Anything in mind? Cheers Kingpin
  7. Did you say you were using a tamiya ESC with a lipo? I would be careful mate, if you dont have a Low Voltage alarm then you may end up in trouble... Keep us posted bud. KingPin
  8. The MadBull is perfect for "modernising", low centre of gravity, wide stance and still reasonable ground clearance. The gearbox is pretty bulletproof as long as its ballraced but oil shocks are a must! Motor wise, the world is your oyster. As the standard kit tyres can "slip" on certain surfaces, acting like a slipper clutch, this together with the motor's location on the rear axle will keep the temps down. You will benefit in looking to getting rid of the bump-steer up front, and the tiny axle springs at the rear....maybe think of the "5th shock mod" that Lunchbox/Pumpkin owners utilise. It will stop the rear axle trying to do a back-flip when running hotter motors! Have fun! KingPin
  9. Havent got a clue, and my collection is getting into big money now...60+ cars.....and about another 15 on my list! KingPin
  10. Reckon you might be in a minority mate, or very unlucky..... Had my brushless carnage over a year and its been 100% trouble free, no failures, no breakages, its all good. It even got ran into a door at work, head on and kept going fine. I cant recommend them enough. KingPin
  11. Greetings mate, welcome to the forum!
  12. Nice one, both sets fitted on two of my runners and look fantastic! Cheers for the washer help, what about threadlock? I think a little wouldnt hurt... Thanks again KingPin
  13. Hi all, i recentley picked up a set of these bad boys... http://www.fusionhobbies.com/product/j51032-junfac-2-2-wheel-widener-x4-13mm-offset The 13mm and 19mm off-set variants. Just wondering where you put the washers and spring washers when you assemble them and if thread lock is required? Many thanks KingPin

  15. Hi, and welcome to the forum!
  16. yup, i thought that was the case but reading other posts made me think otherwise... Good good, confirms what i thought then. Always best to ask the experts! Cheers KingPin
  17. Hi all, couldnt really see much info on the main lipo thread.... Ive read some people balance after charging their lipos to ensure all cells are equally charged? Some balance before charging, to equalise the cells before hand? and some are balance charging their lipos in one go. Does balance charging not do both? Couldnt find a definate answer on "some other" forums... Cheers
  18. Even though you may not be looking into Lipo yet, one benefit is that the price of NIMH stick packs have come right down, so you should be able to pick up some higher capacity (say 3300mah --> 4000mah) for a good price, and if you get a good charger that will charge both Lipo and NIMH then you are "future proof" for when you update later on. Regards KingPin
  19. +1 the Carnage/Vantage....great bits of kit for the price! KingPin
  20. Yup, im laughing too! All sorted and balancing as we speak, think what threw me was my Ftx Carnage came with a Pocket Pal charger from Etronix which only has a socket for a 2s or 3s balance lipo plug, no other inputs/outputs anywhere. So naturally when i realised how important balancing was i never realised you needed the main power lead plugged in also! Nevermind, all sorted now! Suppose you gotta laugh really! Cheers guys KingPin
  21. Will do, at work till lunch then straight to the man-cave! Cheers KingPin
