  1. Hmmm... not sure about the silver motor because it has very large openings and am worried about small stones and mud getting inside, why do you say to buy that one instead of the red one?
  2. Right, so would you recommend the silver motor (as oppose to the red one)?
  3. So go for the 8t motor??? I thought that I had finally understood it all
  4. Thanks, I'll go with one of the 6.5t motors then, would the one with the lower KV rating be better? My current motor is 6001-7000KV!!
  5. Right ok, should I just get one of the 6.5t motors then and not the 8t? If so, which 6.5t do you reckon would be better?
  6. Thats what I thought KV was So you think I should get one of the 6.5t motors posted in one of my previous posts?
  7. Ok, thanks, but I don't understand why that is equivalent to 8t, but faster than a motor rated at 6.5t?
  8. ??? I thought it was the turns which determined how fast the motor was? What does the KV rating mean? BTW, the wire gauge from the esc is 12awg and from the cells 14awg, using deans connectors, but I'm pretty bad at soldering though (although this was one of my best attempts) I might get the motor you suggested and one of the 6.5t ones
  9. Oh, ok I was surprised it didn't have a manual cutoff when I got it, but as I wasn't planning on getting LiPos at the time I thought nothing of it. Seeing as it only seems to cut out when going top speed, I assume that the voltage in the cells must temporarily drop below the LVC, if so would a slower motor help?
  10. Oh, yes, I didn't see that I was after something a bit faster than that, do you know if this motor is any good, or this one. Also, do you think it would help stop the esc from cutting out so much?
  11. Yes it is set to 'Lipo auto detect' as oppose to 'no cutoff', what I meant is, I don't know the voltage per cell it is set to cut out at Thanks, looks good (and CHEAP! ) . Do you know how many turns it would be equivalent to?
  12. On the programming card, for the cutoff setting, it just says 'LiPo auto detect' and has no manual setting - so I don't know
  13. Hi guys, Recently I upgraded to LiPos (these ones), and when using them (with the LiPo cutoff feature enabled on this esc), they cutout when I was on full throttle for more than a couple of seconds, and just went very slowly for one or two seconds, and then ran fine again until I hit full throttle again. I'm currently using a 4.5t ansmann motor that came in the esc combo, and am thinking about changing to maybe a 6.5t motor, as 4.5t is way too quick with LiPos! Would this help, and which motor would you recommend (for an Associated B44) for under
  14. I have the same 'precision screwdriver set' as you (at 0:45 in 2nd video)!!!! ... oh, and good video by the way
  15. I bought a pair of these for a similar car a few years ago, and gave them to my brother, who also has a DT 02 holiday buggy, and they were a lot better than the stock tyres, and will last a longer as well
  16. Don't want to get lips yet - they're scary!!!
  17. They do 5000mah sub-c batteries (not as individual cells though), but I could cut one out and use it, but not sure whether the mah's are close enough?
  18. The highest may they have for that type of cell is 4500, but thanks anyway
  19. Hi guys, Recently one of the cells in my Voltz 5300mah Nimh 7.2v saddle pack has swelled up a bit and the voltage across the cell has dropped to about 0.2v. Does anyone know where I can get a cell to replace it with, as the other 5 are fine? Thanks
  20. Was using a 5300mah nimh (7.2v) saddle pack for testing, and this works in my B44 with 4.5t brushless, so don't think this is the problem. Don't really want to solder deans onto my other packs if I don't use this esc and motor though, as my other escs have tamiya connectors, which is fine for 23t brushed
