  2. Hi I've been offerd a baja for
  3. While waiting for the new wheels and tyres I decided to run the droop suspension set up , this dropped the ride height by about a inch , should look better with new wheels ( excuse the touring car wheels ) http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26133-/
  4. This is how mine now sits .......... http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26123-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26124-image/ Also these wheels are on order with 96mm tyres for a bit more of a scale look http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26125-image/
  5. Not on this one , had a go on the e10 I have but didn't come out very good . Need a lot more practice .
  6. Links are now fitted , lift kit had to come off to stop binding on the driveshaft's.Also had to shorten the rear prop to make it work with the shorter links , the wheelbase now stands at just over 10.5" http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26120-image/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26121-/
  7. To mount the body I wanted to hide mounting points so there wasn't a lot of options so I made some custom mounts with Velcro until I find a more perm http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26094-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26095-/ anent idea ...................
  8. in order to make the body fit I needed to adjust the wheelbase to 11.5" the easiest way to do this was to make up new links using the dingo standard lengths and customs on the rear...... http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26088-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26089-image/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26090-/
  9. the next concern that I had was the tyres rubbing the body as the newbright bodys aren't the strongest, to stop to rubbing I decided to use a cheap lift kit with wraith shocks , this allows it to articulate but stop before the tires make contact with the body ......... http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26092-/
  10. Whilst waiting on the shells I decided to upgrade my steering as it was useless with the standard servo and plastic link. So I decided to go for a jazrider steering bar and a savox servo................ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26091-/

  17. HI I am putting my fg monster up for sale its the newer type of the FGs being the longer wheel base and with the 4wd . the truck started out as standard monster ( 26cc ) and has had a lot of upgrades added to it ,has had twin steering servos put in giving it 20kg on each wheel and also a savox compact throttle servo put on ,the brakes have also been upgraded from the single disc on the layshaft to twin cable disks at the front . the engine has had the most work on the truck it has had had the most work done to it , its had a billet race head (29cc) stuffed crank and also had the carb upgraded to a chockeless racing carb . the truck it self does have the usual wear marks on the underside of the chassie ,I have replaced the front end and cage screws with stainless screws to make it look nicer under the shell , I have also had the sides off and polished them on a clay wheel so there back to original with no marks, all wheels are in good condition on the truck apart from one that has some damage and has been glued but still good, the shock socks do have some rips but still keep the shocks clean . the shell is your usual monster shell has got wear marks cracks and has been repaired still a good solid shell but if you wanted the truck to be mint you could get a new one.in situated in Cornwall near Wadebridge , ideally wanted cash on collection as its a lot of money to post as it stands me around
  18. Hi , need a bit of help with my fg , a couple weeks ago I had to change the diff over because of the usual problem of the diff casing exploding as its plastic . I've opted for an alloy self locking diff ( used ) all fitted lovely with a diff raise bracket , however all put back together on the bench with the wheels off the ground it worked fine drive to both wheels no problem , when I put it on the floor it revved up the diff was turning but no drive to output shafts . Is this likely to be the shafts or the gearing inside the diff ?
  19. Yeh would it still be ok to charge ? And I've seen fb but apparently the open events still going ahead ?
