  1. I've used the chassis for my hks vectra and the shell was painted outside with automotive paint and looks awful but under the paint is mint! So I'm slowly stripping it back to respray it.
  2. I got them as soon as I'd read your thread :-) I've just fitted a k&n to my mondeo st so got stickers with that. I didn't like the standard Jekyll stickers so more to come.
  3. Just a few snaps of my hotshots A vintage hotshot 1 and two Two hotshot 2's My hotshot upgrades And my toy cupboard :-) And floor space :/) Hope you all like :-)
  4. Here's (one of) my baby boomerang It's quite hopped up Rear suspension mount and spoiler mount plus hotshot 1 rear dogbones Front has supershot suspension with aluminium shocks plus radshape bumper Plus the aluminium rims with schumacher mini pins. Hope you all like :-)
  5. Yeah its quite well built for the price @
  6. Hi all. This is my ftx vantage buggy. Bought it to bash/maybe race as my tamiya collection is a little too precious to use. So far its only had a pair of sway bars but will be getting carbon upgrades. Its currently running a nosram evil esc and 9.5t nosram evil motor plus a 11.1v lipo. Its properly quick!!! Not going down the aluminium arm route as spares are sooooo cheap it wouldnt be cost effective. Will post pics up for those not familiar with the model but its nearly standard for those who do!
  7. Hi all. Just purchased a team c jekyll. Its a rolling chassis at moment and I've upgraded the boring standard wheels for some arrow road wheels. Also got a brushless system for it (photon 9t) its probably overkill but just for fun :-) I want to upgrade the suspension as the standards are pants! It just bottoms out on the chassis at the moment. (Maybe cos the road wheels are slightly less in diameter) but im searching for a set anyway. Will post up pics in a bit as not got any so far. :-)
  8. Thanks all. Look forward to chatting and maybe bashing in the future. I'm from ripley sort of south east Derbyshire. It's about 17ml north of derby.
  9. Rage. It's an FF01 not a TT01 Mr drifta which bit do you need linking? The actual chassis was an eBay uk bargain unused at
  10. The wheels are billet aluminium from Hong Kong too. There
  11. Hi all. This is my new build of a 1992 ff01 opel vectra hks. It's an unused chassis and a brand new body set from Hong Kong. It's taken quite a while to sticker up as there's quite a few :-) hope you like.
  12. Ive ran boomerangs with 3.5t brushless before. As long as you dont full throttle start and you have full bearing kit they are quite tough. Its bottom arms you need to watch for breaking. And upgrade the suspension to aluminium. My current boomerang is 5.5t or 9.5t depending on track. Its got alloy front hubs (ta01 are exactly same) full bearing kit and new gears in box (its vintage so 30yr old nearly) plus the supershot suspension upgrade but with alloy shocks. It also has the radshape alloy bumper and rear suspension mount. Ive never done a top speed test but its fast!! I did try an arm conversion (use manta ray) and that was quite successfull.
  13. Im a tamiya collector/runner and out of the two definitely boomerang but they are both old and fragile so youd probably be best getting something newer and cheaper to run. The bottom arms on both cars are fragile and upgraded arms are near impossible to find. Ive got all the hotshot based cars and bought an ftx vantage to play with as its tougher and cheaper to run. I once went to my local track with two of my boomerangs and broke both in about 5mins! Ive abused the ftx and still broke nothing!!!
  14. Hi all. Just joined yesterday. I have a nice collection of rc cars (all electric) Mainly tamiya (13) but ive got a team.c jekyll and an ftx vantage and 3 team losi xxx-s not really got a certain type I like but mainly off road and touring although I have also a f103. My most expensive is my ta05 porsche limited edition trf carbon fibre tourer My least was my jekyll I havent even used up to yet. Ive been into rc since about 1994 but now I can actually afford it im a serious collector. Mainly vintage tamiya (hotshot- boomerang- super sabre) But anything for a good bash about :-)
  15. Nice tt there dude. Just a word of warning. Dont go too mad on upgrading it as its not built or designed as a top flight race car. I had one converted to fully carbon chassis and a 5.5t motor and esc. It was too fast and light to actually handle! Every time I tried a fast corner it would roll!
  16. Nice video. I've got the rtr version of this as a spare car. Also got an ftx vantage. Have you got a item number for the shocks as mine needs upgrading too.
