  1. Right. Tried and failed to fit the diff to my Jekyll today so complete no on this idea. Even the outdrives don't fit in the hubs. So the only way (so far) to fit a gear diff in a Jekyll or rat or even a monkey or lupuz is to buy the
  2. Right. Time for an update in this. Short answer definitely not. Long answer yes but with plenty of dremelling and modification. I took the gearbox off both cars and side by side they're nearly identical.... But The top mount to chassis is wider than the ansmann The bottom mount to t-piece is also wider than the ansmann. With modification (eg redrilling mount holes or grinding the lrp gearbox housing down) it would go. As far as my original question the diff. Inconclusive at the moment as the lrp comes with telescopic driveshafts rather than conventional cvd's I will try and see if this actually fits. But I'm unsure at the moment.

    Definitely sounded silly lol
  4. Thanks for the heads up in the rb5. Some parts are identical and cheaper than equivalent team c/ansmann ones. My mate has bought a full lrp s10 twister so I will try everything out and get results posted up. There is a gear diff option from team c but it's expensive and there's also postage from Hong Kong!!! The lrp is only
  5. This is the item http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=400546812363
  6. As above really. The lrp comes with a gear diff as standard and the mad rat is a ball. They're
  7. That is simply stunning!!!! What a colour!!
  8. My mate has a 6.5t speed passion so as long as you uprate your idle gear the worlds you're oyster mines a 9.5 with 3s brushless oh and there's two in a monkey gearbox. One in a jekyll
  9. I've got a monkey and a jekyll. My mate had a dex210 mine easily keep up and being lighter sometimes win. Definitely jump higher. I've spent at least
  10. Thanks for the reply teshi I think its basically all there. Got some drift style wheels on there way. Still not decided on a model of skyline shell yet. Im thinking r32 and backwards not more modern. I had a tt01 and was relatively good at drifting. My motor is likely to be 12t brushless ansmann combo. As I have one sitting in a night doing nothing. Will post pics of chassis etc soon. :-) In a shell not night doh!!! And I also meant buggy not shell double doh!!!!
  11. As above really. Ive got 3 of these sitting in the loft gathering dust and I'd love to get back into drifting. I had a tt01 ages ago and a ta01 that handled ok. Im more a basher than serious drifter but they handle great as touring cars so has anyone had any drifting experience on these? Are they adjustable enough etc? Ive got plenty of upgrades on them such as carbon and alloy etc. One way front locked rear and they are some adustable on most touring angles so bosch a set of drifty rims and something jdm and off I go i reckon but this forum does often surprise even a veteran of rc like me :-)
  12. Hi all. I need a set of these. Ive been sent the fronts twice so I can swap for a set of fronts or buy them outright. I can also trade rc. Thanks for looking.
  13. Ive got both jekyll and mad rat. Both awesome cars. Got nearly all the teamc upgrades. Was a
  14. This is mine with a mad rat body shell And standard
  15. Hi all. Just thought I'd share an idea I had the other day. I've got a maverick chassis and a new bright range rover. I sat looking at them and thought. Hmmm I know! And tad aaa!!! It's not mounted as yet or the finished project at all but I think it'll be a fun off road buggy/truggy project. At the moment it's running tamiya hotshot wheels and Schumacher cat tyres. (They will change) I've got a high turn motor planned (27+) so nothing fast here's a shot from the other side I know it's a budget chassis and all that so no big budget plan (as yet) all comments welcomed!!
  16. I've got a hsp bazooka that I'm going to convert to brushless. It's a -21 pull start. It's a thunder tiger I think. It's a hyper 7 copy. Runs fantastic. Only been through 7-8 tanks. Pm me if your interested.
  17. Mine are 1300mah 40c 3s it's mental!! And only shortys not full size!! (item number 281109725285) I'd recommend carbon chassis plate and both suspension mounts as they snap. I've done two before upgrading. Now they just break the front chassis top. It's a
  18. They're great quality and come with the bearing pre pressed so fit straight in!! I've got the alloy team c one and its not as good quality. And will wear eventually. The only parts that will wear are the diff and output shaft (eventually) with the steel item. Not the cheddar idler. I did mine in 20min bash first run!! My mate did his 3rd time out. I just kill tyres now. Need to find a limited slip diff :-)
  19. Steel gear item number 261219319062
  20. I can give a little guidance on this but my no means a definitive answer as I love racing both types of drive due to there vastly differing characteristics. I've got a vantage to play with and also a tamiya 501x for racing and a hotshot for the vintage chic. And on the other end of the scale in both price and (some say) quality a team c Jekyll/ansmann mad rat. And my mad rat is soooooooo much fun to bash with at my local track. It's immensely fast on 3s with a 3700kv in it. Me and a friend at work recently had a session at the track and time after time I was using the Jekyll because it was faster and more fun than my
  21. What are you after as trade? I've got nitro and electric. Touring? Rally? Buggy?
