  1. After selling my D90 Axial SCX-10 I wanted a Trx-4 for so long but as usual it turned out to be another faze so I'm selling due to its sitting in my wardrobe doing nothing.

Its had little use really and I haven't even ran it on Lipo only on Nimh , the Lipo will need a Traxxas connector fitting as its still got the original Deans connector.

I had my heart set on a Defender and I know a lot of Trx owners opt for something else due to its crawling capabilities. I have done a few things to the body to enhance the detail of the Defender however I haven't made a great job of some items for example when fitting the Knight Customs fuel cap the glue has shown through on the body and when I was fitting the door hinges I slipped making the pilot hole. these don't effect it greatly but I want to be honest as I know some scale replica builders would be disappointed, if you want to use the body as a crawling body its more than suitable as it will only get knocked around.

I had used it a few times in the garden when the common failure of the steering servo struck so I ordered a Power HD 23kg upgrade along with an alloy steering horn. it was whilst waiting for these to arrive I decided to strip the shell to fit some parts from Knight Customs some of which I haven't fitted and will include ( all items have YouTube videos to help fitting).

I decided to build it all back up and sell it. I've tested it which it works fine and I've not taken it outdoors since fitting the steering servo just around the house.

There are a few marks mostly underneath which I've tried to show on the pictures and some around the bumpers from using around the garden any other photos can be sent at request although id prefer collection so the buyer can see what they are getting and see it working etc. I'm also a little concerned about posting incase it gets damaged but also I'm aware if people pay by PayPal they can complain and get a refund even if the items not as the buyer says which would leave me out of pocket but something we can discuss if postage is required. I also have the original packaging I believe in the loft.

I have a vaterra Ascender I’ve been thinking of selling. I’ve shortened the wheel base to fit a d90 hardbody. Would that be of interest? Difficult to get it to fit a d90 with interior due to the motor mount but I’ve seen it done but not sure how.

I do have a d90 hardbody to go with it and some cheap smaller wheels for scale. Unfortunately I mangled the interior of the d90 trying to get it to fit, tried to tint the windows instead then started to styrene up the rear windows. Let’s call it a project!

Not really for me I'm afraid.

    Thanks.

If you fancy it drop me a PM and I’ll sort you photos. Always welcome to pop round like before and give it a drive  :D

The trx is a diffrent kettle of fish .locking diffs 2 speed it's awesome.

I look forward to seen your pics TOMORROW when you get it

Ha ha unfortunately it won't be tomorrow, maybe next weekend.... I have been trying to resist temptation however it seems to be getting the better of me.

I was nervous with wife at side handing over 470 quid but wow just wow.

Steering servo yep could be a tad better and more weight down below but overall it's a right bit of kit .

Tried the cheap cheerful ones there great but just not a trx and that's being totally honest

I had a Scx-10 with a D90 Body and that was my first crawler, it ended up costing and loosing a small fortune but I think that's the nature of this hobby.

I've looked at second hand ones but they sell for silly money, new is the only option.

Haha I sold up about 15 years ago when it was going to a hall and racing Schumacher and Tamiya cars around!

    and its got me back...

The motor possibilities are mind boggling though now days!

Ps, no idea on the body, looked pretty good though but was hard plastic, not the see through paint yourself kind.

Certainly sounds like a rc4wd body found on the Gelande, it's the scale Defender's that drew me back in to the hobby... The hole hobby is a mind field ?

I don't know in all honesty, my local shop has a really detailed land rover body available that fits straight on the SCX but its around £100. comes with loads of internal stuff like gearstick and really detailed bits, may just go with the for this.

I only bought this for something to build really as the Traxxas comes built, Ive already started spending though, bought a Savox waterproof servo but can't decide on right motor ESC combo, some are recommending 250 dollar setups, sod that!

Was it the rc4wd body by any chance?

It's always money with this hobby that's why I sold up and left but it's like a drug and keeps pulling me back!

Yep there was a grey one too, I also could have collected for £350 but around 100 miles from me.

local model shop had SCX10 2 so went and got that, no doubt I’ll end up getting a TRX as well if one comes up for the right money, seem to hold their money well though!

I know I had a scx-10 with a D90 body and loved it, decided to sell it and I had spent some money on it to be honest and lost a fair amount. The TRX-4 seems to be hold its value.

Just watching some videos on YouTube at the moment and the scx-10 2 seems a great contender, does the TRX-4 Defender body fit scx-10 2 easily enough?

    Morning pal long time!?

I ordered mine from rcMart - Works out cheaper than UK prices, and there is very low chance of customs as they mark it well.

You may struggle to find a used one as they don't pop up very often :good:

    Hello matey how's it going?

I see you had also got yourself a TRX-4, how do you find it?

I really shouldn't be buying one if I'm honest after selling my scx-10 I said thats its I'm done and sold all  of what I had.

There were a few on the bay, one I watched until the end yesterday but it went  for £444, I was out at £400.

The green one with genuine Traxxas light kit?

That's the one he seller said I could collect for £350 and I ended up watching also.

I've been offered two so far, ones supposedly never been used few extras wants £500 the other is £375 again with extras both need lipo and charger.

    Cheers.
