  1. have a look at the pictures in the above link, piston is slightly scored but if its a sieze would it still turn over, piston ring looks fine and piston is nice and oily
  2. new copper head gasket was leaking, stripped it down and replaced, good compression with plug removed and finger over hole, spark plug sparking. Plug wet so turned car upside down with plug out to see if it was flooded, no fuel came out after 10 pull starts. Just cant get the damn thing to even try and start. tried removing fuel tank cap, slight hissing noise, tried starting with cap off. nothing Could the coil be faulty even though I get spark at the plug.......... Good fuel flow through primer bulb it feels like killswitch is holding it off, tried disconnecting it from the coil and the plug still sparks even though there is no connection to the contacts on the coil.
  3. yes head removed, checked piston ring, put on new gasket as existing split on removal. even tried a new pull start, Tried 3 different plugs http://s1355.photobucket.com/user/kangarilla/library/baja%20engine%20issues I even took pics to see if there is anything obvious to anyone
  4. bolts tight, new copper head gasket installed no signs of any leakage
  5. Baja 5b with 28.5 cc big bore upgrade, bzm micro side pipe. Can has run for a couple of tanks of juice then just cut out. I have tried a new carb, checked plug gap and spark, coil gap reset, drained all fuel out and put new in, 25:1 car has run 12 tanks of juice. all needles reset to factory, plug is getting wet, good spark. new gaskets fitted to carbs/ manifolds. I even tried to disconnect the kill switch in case this was the issue, even got spark at plug with no switch connected onto coil. Air filter clean. Car just cut out whilst on full throttle and has not started since, flooded the engine last week and dried it all out and stripped it down again. It just wont try and catch when the choke is on. Normally 3 pulls on choke and it tried to start, turn off choke and started straight away. new spark plug tried and gap checked. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated please Thanks Chris
  6. Just finished the buidl of a 5sc and primed the engine feul in the lines, pulled pull start 8-10 times and now its solid and wont turn engine over, dont want to pull too hard in case i break the pull start. I did forget to switch the main box on before but did so on the 6th pull, taken spark plug out all good and clean not flooded. Taken pull start cover off and can get the main cog to turn 1/2 a turn and a small pop from exhaust but sounds like something is grinding. Any ideas appreciated Thanks Kangarilla
