Well after many hours and a lot of swearing i got the 5.5mm rear belt to fit, turns out i needed to replace the pulley and bearings. anyway i decided to make a new battery tray to hold my lipo's more securely and about 30 mins later i had this body shell lipo's fitted in the car (8s) 5.5mm rear belt fitted

  10. the chassis is my own design I'm only using the front and rear end of the car but most of the front and rear end will be remade to handle the power increase not to mention that the car will be about 3feet long now
  11. on a side note, was talking to BEZ yesterday about what power plant i am running next year and i was originally going to run a 1940 and the MGM 250a-350a esc but i've now decided to run a 2240 which i've been told pulls at least 270a so that sort of ruled the 250a esc out, so that is now going to be replaced with the 400a-500a version. and for people wondering "is this project actually going to take off" and the answer to that is yes, this project is happening I've already started to draw up designs for the pulley and motor mount system along with the new chassis layout which has to accept 8s-14s. obviously this project will start next year the main reason for running this year on 8s in my current car is just to see if the front and rear ends of the car can take the pressure, like the spools, drive shafts and bearings along with the foams.

Im afraid to say that this project is going to be taking a back seat for the while as i have started my GCSE exams and my course work which will be taking up all of my time which will mean i will have no time for the car, whether i run it at this years event it will be hit and miss but i will try and run but we will have to see what happens.
