  1. Ok, done some reading and think they should work. They are pretty much the same size as the plazmas so think they should be ok. But didn't come across a definite answer, so still would be good to hear from someone who does run these in their Savage Flux HP. Are these the normal ones? not nano-tech?
  2. A BIG THANKS to all those who offered their opinions/recommendations. It is very much appreciated. I have up'd my budget a considerable amount and have decided to go for a HPI Savage Flux HP. I have posted a question over in the MT section about what batteries to use. Thanks again. Mo.
  3. Hi Peeps, So after much deliberation I think I have finally decided to go for a HPI Savage Flux HP. Thanks to all those who replied and helped with making my decision. My question now is, what batteries would best suit the Savage? I would like a pair of Lipos for it, and was thinking of either a pair of 7.4v 2s 5300mah 20c HPI Plazmas, OR Turnigy nano-tech 5300mah 2S2P 30~60C Lipos from Hobbyking. Would be good to hear which you think would be better and/or what you guys run in yours. Price wise the turnigys are much cheaper, with the Plazmas being considerably more. Look forward to your replies. Mo.
  4. Its a mix really. Its rough terrain, lots of bumps, humps, grass and stones. But then sometimes I might just want to go down to the local car park. But it needs to handle the rough terrain well. Am I asking for too much lol
  5. How are these at handling rough terrain. I wanted a MT because of good ground clearence. I'd have thought this would not be as good on rough terrain like a MT. You guys have given loads of option, so I'm pretty confused what to go for I mean if I had to up the budget a nudge to get something good/better, then I suppose I could.
  6. Took a look of some videos of this one and read some stuff and seem quite impressed with the Traxxas E-Maxx Brushless. Anyone got one of these that can comment further? Mo
  7. Hi Kaylan, This one you posted is in kit form. I'm after a ready assembled one.
  8. WOW. Thanks for all the replies guys. Quite a few options there. Also seen the HPI Bullet FluX MT, which looks like one that I could get the batteries, charger and truck all in
  9. Hi Shono, I'm after a monster truck or truggy type, if thats what you mean. Mo.
  10. Hi Guys, New to the forum and was hoping this would be the place to get some advice for a RC purchase. I want to get my first proper RC, and would like to go for an electric setup. My friend has a HPI Trophy Truggy FLUX, so he has told me a little about the workings, lipos etc. I'm after something like a truck to use over rough terrain, for jumps etc. What would you guys recommend? I've seen a few different ones around, but want to hear what some of you guys have to say who have had plenty of experience. I've got a budget of around
