hi all new to this flying lark, well fairly new, had a few tiny indoor helis but nothing super exciting, and for christmas the other half bought me a double horse 9117 (also shuang ma 9117) which is my 1st outdoor heli, tried to fly it for the 1st time yesturday and failed, crashed and broke the fairing still flys tho, but found a few problems with it, but that could be down to the settings on the transmitter which im yet to figure out how to change, here are a few pics of my 2 helis
the probs im having with it are making it go forward cant do that, the swash plate comes away and makes the heli crash
thats it really just frustraiting not being able to fly it like i want to, but its a learning curve

will update with more as soon as i have some spare money for some more stickers to cover up my mistakes and make it more like a drift car, will also be looking at getting my second shell to spray aswell, will need to think what to get yet tho -
just thought i would update this with my newly painted shell, only taken me a few months to do it, but rushed it today, made a few cockups on it but nothing a few stickers cant sort, all i need now is some wheels and some more stickers then it will look more like a drift car

well the shell is pretty much finished now all thats needed is some stickers to finish the drift look and fit my light buckets but need to spray them black first

got some leak through from my failed masking but not a bad overall job considering it was rushed

well masked it up and put the black on, got abit of leak through on the front bumper, tried to get it off but hasnt budged so its staying, started getting the ivory white on it now, so will give it another 2 coats then the masks can come off

just been to put the 1st coat of pearl on now, and this is how it looks
will give it another coat in 10mins and then leave for a few hours then mask it to put the black on

well not updated this in a while, but i bought the spray and stuff to do the carbon bonnet, roof and boot, but lost half or it somehow, but still got the black and white spray and the metallic spray so will carry on with it, will try and get the metallic spray on tonight and mask off the white bits ready for the black to go on tomorrow

recieved my paint today, but i buggard up thinking the white i was getting was metallic, i was wrong, need to get another can of transparent silver to start then spray the white to make it metallic
so the painting of the shell will be on hold now till the end of the month till i can get some pennies to get some moreheres my progress for today anyway
its abit rough around the edges, as i used a stanley knife, not a scalpel, but considering ive not done it for about 8yrs i think ive done well
as you can see, i now have a working bonnet vent and the front bumper has been chopped -
heres my last car, started life as a 306 XSi with a 2.0 8v 126bhp engine, ended its life as a 306 XSi with a GTi6 170bhp engine
some tit ended its lift by pushing it into a wall,
the current car is a 1996 gen6 celica GT 2.0 16v
as it stands as of last week after fitting coilovers
new rear lights
its been off the road a while so i can put some bits and bobs on it, but somepoint next year, it should have a GT4 engine with around 300bhp hopefully

as some of you may no, i have slowly been turning my old Tamiya TL-01 chassis into a drift beast, couldnt really have a focus doing the drifting could we, so i bought a S15 shell from R2 Hobbies, so here are the pics of the slow progress i will be making
the shell
it came with a few bits, 2 spoilers, wing mirrors, front and rear light buckets, wipers
finally masked part of it today
the plan is, carbon fibre bonnet and boot lid, gloss black roof, metallic white body will be spraing the light buckets matte black too. I have the black and white spray on order so should recieve them soon, just need a few more bits to buy then i can carry on with the build
thats it for now

a faster motor, ally prob shaft, speed tuned gears, oil filled dampers, carbon gear rods

not sure about locking both diffs, these were spare so going to see how it will be with both on then put the other back in if its not any good
im thinking of doing it with a black bonnet/roof and boot, spraying the light buckets matte black and doing the rest of the body in a pearl/metallic white then will be on the lookout for some rims, will be getting the spray and that 1st before the wheels as i want to get the body right as it will most prob be a shelf queen NuttyProfessor - have you got a pic of that purple? might put that on the next shell i get

ive reenforced the diff gears with more araldite so less chance of coming apart now
and also recieved my new shell
its an R2 Hobbies S15 shelllight buckets with 2 spoilers
the light buckets arnt the best fit but will do something with them when i get it sprayed

yea i did the same thing lol, tryna blow it off then i realised, luckily no one saw me

well i finally got around to locking my spare diffs
dirty
clean
locked with araldite
finished
took all of 5mins to do, will get the rc car out at some point and fit them and see how it goes

dont suppose you know where i can get metallic white paint do you for the shell? i can only find flat white

well not really done much to this for a while, used it twice, as the pinion kept slipping so got bored with it, decided to fix it again, and will be locking my spare diffs today
and also orderd an s15 shell with light buckets, not sure on the colour i want yet, but will see when i get the shell -
i had thought about doing that

sent my track wheels to be powder coated so will be getting them back this week so next week should have a different pic 
tyres are flat as there , got some new ones to go on once i refurb the 17s
