  1. Got a few items on sale via Ebay:-

The above link is for the TT02T, use it to find the other items listed above.  Will try and get the pics attached tonight, but they are in my phone and not on my PC.

Any questions, give me a shout.  Not on here much these days, but I'll try and get back to you asap.

  2. Didn't get round to mentioning, but I eventually bit the bullet and got one.  Not bad so far.  Put my SkyRc brushless combo in, and so far its running pretty sweet.  Daughter loves it too, so that's always a bonus.  Keep her busy while I'm swearing at my nitros.

  3. Finally got this running.  Not sure what I've used pinion and spur wise, just ended up bodging it and throwing whatever I had on to it.  Got some cogging issues, but I assume that's because the 3930kv motor is struggling a bit with the truck wheels?

  4. Anyone know if the tt02t chassis is the same as the tt02 standard?   Been looking for something to build with the intention of running it with the daughter.  The TT02T Sand Shaker seems reasonably priced and if its just a standard tto2 chassis, I may be tempted to by the required kit to convert it to drift or something?

Anyone got any thoughts or ideas on this?

  5. Just a quick update if anyone is interested.  Stripped out the radio tray, throttle servo and engine.  Replace the 2 speed centre diff with a single speed.  Need to strip the shock springs as the make shift socks (balloons) have degraded and stuck to the springs.  Added some rear drive shaft guards just because.

Just waiting on the combo to arrive so that I can figure out where everything is going to be situated.

  6. Only reason I upgraded to the S50 engine and gearbox was the price.  Had the chance to get them both for silly money.  The S50 pulls hard to give you wheels up action and the metal internals of the S50 box are going to last a lot longer than the s28 plastics.  That said, the s28 standard is still a hell of a lot of fun.

What spares are you after then, as I think I have a set arms for all four corners, but bear in mind that I have had these sitting around for about 2 years as the truck is tough as nails.

  7. I might have a spare 28 engine somewhere as I bought the 50 engine and gearbox for my MTA S28. May also still have the spare 28 gearbox. Not sure what other spares I may have.  Might have some arms somewhere, but to be honest, I've never broken any and I have given my truck some stick over the years.

If your looking for a cheap new engine though, the Trackstar 28's on Hobbyking (provided the sale price is still on - something like 35-40 bucks when I looked last) may be worth a punt.  I bought the Trackstar 21 for my 8t and am quite impressed with it so far.

  8. Just been looking into ratios of gearing etc etc.  If the SSK has a 52t spur and I use a 19t pinion, this gives me a ratio of about 2.7.   What does this mean?   Also been looking into pitch.  48 seems to be the popular choice.  Anyone care to shed some light?
