  2. Hi Im looking to get back into buggies after running them a little last year Thinking of doing 2 wd. Probably using an 8.5 turn? Anyway, whats a good chasis for astro when its dry-damp-wet. Ive heard some people nave 3 buggies for each condition! Im looking for a good all rounder Thanks. Ps racing at surrey and hants rcc
  3. I have a thunder power 17.5, only used once, really quick (in fact i was accused of using boost in blinky (which iwasnt!)) if your interested pm me.
  4. The thing with boost is that you can make up for gearing in turbo, so tbh if your gearing is in the right ball park you dont have to go searching for the exact perfect fdr
  5. You need all springs otherwise it wont work! Its a pain to put together, but works well. Turn your car on and try to turn the wheels with your hands-you should feeel the wheels turn without the servo moving. If its all sloppy then it will handle aweful, so feeling like a horn is fine if it can still move. Ive ran mine for a year and a half, clapped the barriers really hard and my servo lives on!
  6. New from Tamiya is the 1971 Renault Alpine a110 Rally Car. The full scale version was extremely successful winning 1st 2nd and 3rd at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1971. The chassis is the successful M0-6 which is rear wheel drive, and has a very good spec sheet. Scale : 1/10 Terrain use : on-road Drive-train : 2WD RWD Drive type : gearbox Drive line : dog bone Differential type : gear Suspension : fully independent double wishbone This is a kit so that you can assemble at home. All you need is radio gear and batteries- it comes with an esc and a motor. The price of the kit is $180 which is around
  7. But thats my opnion from what ive seen, no expereince
  8. I think "best" would be a thunder power 13.5 with a hobbywing v3.1 1s-thats around
  9. Given that the pace isnt massivly expensive, i woukd just buy a new one. You could easily spend that money on replacing things on the one you have just to find that it really is dead
  10. Do travel to races though, but this gets 2 cars, chargers, spares, laptop, tyre warmers etc
  11. Hi This is a fantastic vintage 1/10th scale nitro powered buggy. It comes with a rare sedan conversion kit (although one body post is missing, although there are several cheap replacement options), and includes the hop up belt cover. It also comes with a full set of Kyosho gold shocks, regarded to be some of the best avaliable. It runs well and comes with a Enya 11CX glow engine, which has been looked after well by its previous owner. Chassis is in good condition with little evidence of any wear. Fuel tank has been removed and will have to be sent in a seperate package as although it has been cleaned thoroulghy, there is a chance it could be confiscated due to possible fuel residue. The engine will be fine and will be included in the car. Included items: X1 Kyosho Stinger MKII 4WD Buggy (Rare sedan Conversion fitted, missing 1 body post. Chassis missing 1 C-hub Kingpin, One front arm is a standard unit while the other 3 are part of the Sedan conversion. Also missing starter gear so rip starter cannot be used). Run about 6 times in my ownership, probably under ten times previously due to condition. Slightly dirty, could use a clean. Fitted with an Enya 11CX Glow engine, with box and 2 spare glow plugs x1 full set of pin tires mounted on Kyosho metal plated wheels, lightly used. x1 pair of metal plated wheels NIP x1 pair of metal plated wheels, never used x1 pair of foam tires NIP x1 pair of foam tires, never used x1 full set of on road tires mounted on white plastic rims, lightly used x1 Kyosho Stinger Body (Unpainted, never used, no overspray film cine it degraded and had to be removed) x1 Kyosho Stinger wing set, NIP x1 Porsche Sedan body x1 foot of fuel line, unused and undegraded x1 Futaba Attack-R Ripmax transmitter, used. Damage to front label. Powers up, but untested otherwise. Receiver included, appears to receive background radio signals so may be working x1 Marince starter, requires 12v input. Fully functional x1 Rip Starter, unused. x1 set of Kyosho gold shocks, installed on car. lightly used, unworn. Slight scratching on shock bodies from springs x1 set of Kyosho red shocks (Stinger's originals), NIP x1 Stinger decal set, good condition, complete. x1 sleeve of assorted Tamiya and Aftermarket decals x2 spare rear arms x1 spare front arm Any questions please message me Sadly due to the nature of the hobby no returns will be available. On ebay auction.....good luck! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=141184394409
  12. Try 'chubbies car shack'. I use the gravity rc oil they stock, i use 1 M and its great
  13. Seems like a good deal. Do you have a board for it? Thats vital for setups as you need a flat surface
  14. +1 for the xray. Actually +3-i run them in all my cars!
  15. Youll probably be able to find the spacers on ebay, just type in the size you need. Cant help witht the binding sorry, but they look great
  16. I use hudy droop blocks and guage....maybe droop affects ride hight more on the haribo? If you measure same way surely its fine?
  17. There are 3 main types- 48dp, 64dp and mod. I would recommend 48dp, however check what pitch you spur gear is running (pitch is what those numbers i listed refer to). I would see what the manual suggests- alot of manuals suggest pinions Failing that stick a 20t on-make sure you get correct pitch for your spur I say 20 because that is what i have heard 22 owners saying, never tried and might have mis heard though.
  18. Sam, you do some awesome shells. Do you paint them?
  19. It was an awesome day, thanks quantra. Spaces in boosted for rd 6 might have to go there
  20. Because we get to spend the whole day racing toy cars . See you there!
  21. Getting a lift, but then they are going
  22. Sadly most companies are like that-sometimes you need to spend an extra sum of money to have tuning options which on top of a
  23. Pretty sure the xray t4 14 has that (eccentric, you twist the tabs in the suspension blocks)
