  1. For sale is my Team Corally ASUGA XLR Buggy. Purchased 8th July 2023, it has not had a lot of use as I have other RC’s which I also use.

This buggy is fitted with some of Corally's 7075 aluminium upgrade parts including:

    - 7075 Front shock tower

    - 7075 Rear shock tower

    - 7075 Centre upper chassis brace

It also has a CRCU Titanium steering rack.

These parts total around £130-£140 and are quite essential as the stock shock towers bend fairly easily.

The buggy is fitted with some top quality electronics including a Castle Mamba Monster X 6S, TP power 2450kv motor and a Savox 1267 servo. Please note, the Futaba receiver shown is not included.

The Castle ESC is housed in a custom, 1 of 1 3D printed casing which keeps it securely and safely mounted to the chassis as well as providing better cooling due to the uprated cooling fan. Also included is the Castle quick connect cable which allows for easy connection to a PC with a Castle link adapter (not included)

The TP power motor is a high quality motor which allows the Asuga to hit up to 50mph on 4S Lipo. Please bear in mind that the motor is not rated for 6S. A 15t pinion is currently installed.

Also included with the buggy are a pair of original wheels/tyres and several spare parts as pictured.

    Bad points to mention:

    - The wing has a crack in it but is still in one piece

    - The rear left hinge pin pill inserts require replacement as there is some slop in the suspension arm

I am looking for £400 delivered, ONO.

  3. For sale, my Traxxas Maxx V1 truck, please note: the electronics are NOT INCLUDED, I wish to keep them for a future project; therefore this is being sold as a rolling chassis, no ESC, motor, servo or receiver.

This Maxx has many upgrades and option parts fitted to it, making one of the most durable and rugged monster trucks even stronger and more reliable. Essentially, every small weak point on this truck has been fixed.

The upgrades and Traxxas option parts include:

Vitavon 7075 aluminium bulkheads front & rear £250!

Vitavon 7075 aluminium rear hubs £45

Vitavon 7075 aluminium steering block and C-hub £85

Vitavon 7075 aluminium steering bell crank £56

Traxxas Steel CVD driveshaft set £105

Traxxas Steel captured hinge pin set £28

Traxxas Widemaxx suspension kit Orange £51

TMT unbreakable body shell £75 (The body shell is obviously scratched and marked from use, the exterior is wrapped carbon effect blue so where it has peeled off, the white plastic can be seen beneath. The shell is structurally sound and will last a long time)

Rubber cables that hook onto the chassis and prevent the body shell from falling off

Traxxas Sledgehammer wheels/tyres X4 £74 1X brand new spare tyre also included

    THESE UPGRADES TOTAL £769!!!

The truck has been running a Castle Mamba Monster X and TP power 40x74mm 2450kv motor, powered by Onyx 4S batteries, on stock gearing it hits 55MPH on road and around 50-52MPH off road. It is extremely fast and powerful and not for the inexperienced driver!

I have been in the RC hobby for 12+ years, both bashing and racing. I have always serviced this truck meticulously so I can assure it is in good running order.

Please also see for sale my massive spare parts collection for this truck which is worth £££'s.

I am looking for £400, ONO including postage, offers are welcome, but I'm not selling this for cheap!

  4. This motor was ran in my Maxx. It is in great condition having only ever been run on stock gearing, 4S batteries.

I recently replaced the bearings about a month ago and the heat sink has an upgraded 35mm aluminium cased cooling fan which provides better cooling and is more durable. The fan plugs into the receiver as per usual.

The magnets are still very strong and all 4 mounting threads are good.

This motor has 6.5mm bullet connectors, a 5mm shaft and measures 36x70mm

The price is £55 including postage within the UK.

  6. Proline Trencher LP 3.8in Wheels And Tyres Set Of 4 PL10175-10.

These tyres were ran on my Traxxas Maxx, they are a great choice for the Maxx and many other 1/10/1/8 trucks due to the size and weight.

Only ran around 5 times, approximately 90% tread remaining and the 17mm hexes have no damage at all.

Some of the wheels unfortunately got cracks in them which have been repaired and I am confident they are still usable. Please study the photos.

Cheapo tyres work well, but I think theyre gonna wear quite quickly

That looks really good, especially with those wheels. . I run Fastrax zigzags on my Fiesta.

Can anyone recommend good paddle tires for the Maxx? Also is it necessary to have them on all 4 wheels or can I just do the rear wheels? Planning on running it in the snow. Also looking for stiffer springs.

Not sure about paddle tyres, proline ones will likely fit and work, ensure you gear down when running paddles as they cause a lot of additional strain on the driveline, can run just rears but you won’t have much steering except from at low speed.

I assume you want stiffer springs to reduce the chassis slap? Since you are running a heavier power system and wheel/tyre combo it might be a good idea to put slightly stiffer springs. TRX8969 are the stiffer springs. I would suggest slightly thicker than stock oil, 100cst higher will do. Don’t go too thick as it will make the car unstable at speed over terrain.

  9. For sale my Tekno ET48.3 as a rolling chassis, no electronics. This car has been raced on astro track for the past couple of years, it is an excellent car and has performed very well and proven to be very durable. The car has been regularly and thoroughly maintained by myself and has some carefully chosen upgrade parts which are very valuable, these include:

    • AllRacing 7075 aluminium gearbox cases with larger, stronger diff input bearings £180 for the pair
    • Centre to rear Tekno aluminium driveshaft £20
    • MMM Aluminium/Carbon battery tray £65
    • Sumo Racing chassis skid plates £20
    • Tekno steel centre diff case £38
    • Pro-Line thumbscrew body mounts £14

The car is setup mostly as per the build instructions with the exception of the diffs which are set to 30k front - 50k centre and 10k rear. The shocks are stock pistons and spring with 600cst front and rear.

The only negative point to mention is that the left rear suspension arm will need replacing soon as it has some slop in it, but is not damaged in any way. The wing will also need replacing.

Price -  £260 postage to UK.

There are two small marks on the casing on one side, shown in photos.

Please note: sensor cable included. Motor will be removed from my ESC.

Gone back to stock battery strap on my other modded Maxx.

I went with a velcro strap to run 6S, but struggled to keep the tyres on the rims so only run 4S now. Also, i used to rip a velcro strap every run, so back to stock for now:

    LyVuQlm.jpg

I find the stock battery hold bar works ok but make sure there is no free space above the battery otherwise the clamp might not be held in place securely enough and can come undone during a crash.

  12. TP Power TP4040 (40mm X 74mm) 1580kv Brushless Motor - Sealed Can, M3 mount.

Very high quality motor, purchased from TP Power in Germany.

This motor is ideal for a 6S powered 1/8 scale car, I ran it in my Tekno ET48.3 but it is no longer required as I am using the car on track now, on 4S.

The lower kv helps to maintain sensible running temperature while providing a lot of power. This motor is also lighter in weight than something like the Hobbywing 1650kv motor. It also does not have an overkill amount of torque and in my experience didn’t cause any driveline issues in my Tekno.

The motor is in great condition, the bearings spin perfectly smooth and I ensured that it never overheated.

Price is £65 delivered to UK.

Looks good mate👍.I ordered one today and I also have an arrma 3s system sitting around to go in it.Apart from the 30k diff oils and mip's is there anything else that is worth doing?

The Traxxas aluminium motor mount is a very worthy upgrade especially if you do any jumping with the car as the stock plastic mount can let go of the gear mesh fairly easily and strip the spur gear.

The stock ultra shocks are fine in my experience but the aluminium caps are recommended as the plastic ones can pop off and spill oil everywhere.

Also, I suggest you get a decent servo with a high speed as a priority over torque, it makes a massive difference to the responsiveness and agility of the car.

I always run my car on a car park lot so it’s running 600cst oil in the front shocks and 700cst in the rear. Both shocks are on the middle mount on the shock tower and fronts are on the second to most inner hole on the front and outer hole on the rear arms.

If you run the Arrma 3S system, I suggest a 15t pinion as it will run 50mph all day long without overheating.

    Do you still own this?

Yes I do, I love it and it is very reliable and durable so no need to change it!

I painted a new body for it in blue and it now has MIP driveshafts front and rear as the stock ones are fairly weak.

  16. Traxxas.PNG.773c03ce4fcc9ab60b012efe375d658b.PNG

Traxxas have just announced an upgrade kit for the Hoss, Rustler 4x4 and Slash 4x4.

The kit includes upgraded driveshafts wit thicker axles, caster blocks, steering hubs, rear hubs, shock towers and steel wheel hexes.

https://traxxas.com/products/parts/9080X?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Extreme Heavy Duty Packs Launch - CSM&utm_content=Extreme Heavy Duty Packs Launch - CSM+CID_baef6bdde090dc277b646cb6b5cff8ef&utm_source=Campaign Monitor E Blasts

Is this a worthy development for these cars or just Traxxas being cynical and selling an expensive upgrade kit including parts that perhaps should have been fitted from standard?

I am keen to hear your thoughts below!
