  1. Damn somebody should set up a website to host all these raffles lol.

After reading that article even more so. If a website could get the gambling commission stuff sorted easier for members who are vetted it could be cool. It does sound bad that Facebook mums might be getting sucked into gambling their kids money away though. Facebook is the devil.

  2. Yeah I sort of fell into other things still hoping to have things 3D printed and finish but ended up selling up now sadly. But this has gone to a very good home with other D8Ts and a fleet of others im sure ill see it flying sooner or later.  But for now im out the rc game but this really was my favourite build custom stuff having ideas and them usually working.

D8MT is just a nickname really but afew guys built D8 MTs before me lots of different ways to do it too. I just loved the tessman d8 for all its bling as standard. Compared to what the tekno mt410 comes with its crazy.

Plus tekno started with brushless chassis kit conversions or were well known for those mostly. The chassis kit tekno did for the D8T I think looks the most like the tekno mt410 so thought of it as the mt410's dad in a way. I'm sure it will run as wild as one lol.

  3. Well its the end of this rc it got butcherd out. I listed it to ebay thinking it would easily go above 500 ide be happy at. Saw others do it and genuinely had upto 2hrs use total some skate park though.

But at 300 start not one bid im shocked so pulled it apart knowing its slash so will sell easily in parts ill just bunch up everything at the end as one lot somebody will want it still. So far I'm just over 600 for it now with the street conversion kit still to go. I might break that down into lots too though soon if it fails again.  Then list anything else I have but its a sad time I absolutely loved this rc it was flawless never broke even full tilt at the skate park crashing too but the only hiccup was the servo horn once fell off. It was ballistic too. This was the best rc I built definitely the thing I wanted from rc hobby insane rc.

Being able to convert it to just about any other model was the main USP for me buying the slash and then later the D8T with that model having a long line of rebrands and configurations it can be converted between models too.

I'll probably stick around and watch the forum but my rc days are done for now. Im hoping to put my daughters barbie scx10's into storage since the barbie jeep has sentimental value built for my 4yr old over 6yrs ago now and added to over the years. So then I cant sell the new d90 either but hopfully they will be out of storage after a year or so and used walking the trails.

If I ever buy myself another RC it will be an Xmaxx I hope in green. But not for afew years.

  4. One of the best applicators I found was those pva glue sticks from school everything else I used had gum build up I swore by this method ive never broken a body shell once reinforced. Even old ragged bodies can be made good again. Shoe goo is stupidly expensive ide have loved an alternative but just got the goo knowing the body will be protected and cost a bomb to install from clear time and money the goo is worth it in the end.

  5. Hello people after some tragic news today I need to get light on my feet fast with a pocket full of money hopefully a restart fund.

Slash 4x4 mid Street conversion.  All parts ready to go back to MT.

Hot bodies D8MT built to be like a mt410 truggy with a buggy chassis.

  6. Yeah most often I'm sure. But if needed there's always used rollers for when the going gets tough. Like my d8t parts are stupid money or a whole roller for the cost of a pair of drive shafts new. Or a pair of shock towes being carbon ones. I snapped that roller up lol.

  7. Great build mate. I orderd my youngest daughter one last night for Xmas her older sisters have the 1ten's but starting small do you think these would be good fun with lego courses? The kids have a mountain of that and big play boards to build on.

I'll be interested to moddong its alittle which few things make the biggest improvements. Possibly one of those turbo Escs?

  8. Hpi savage XS would be the smallest scale monster truck i would get it is heavier and higher powerd compared to other 1/16ths its actually very fast but you could tame it down with  different electronics and the truck will thank you for it since it is so over powerd as factory it soon wears out alot of moving parts. A slower system mayb even fast brushed set up would be good in a medium sized garden and hopefully not wear out so fast.

My #1 garden basher is axial though since speed isn't needed they are plenty fast enough then its upto you to build courses and stuff or just jack the suspension to wobbly, then do egg in the egg cup runs around the garden vs the kids. Or get two and fit a balloon and pin and play pop the balloon. Axials are tons of fun in the garden.

A trx4 is also capable of going fast too.

My kids 2s stampede 4x4 is too much for out medium sized garden it just gets tangled in anything before even getting near top speed. When the axials get tangled up  though they pull themselves back out the bushes.

  9. Which peice of the diff broke? Was it one of the spider gears inside. The case blew or the outdrives.

Either which way a spider diff should be a great upgrade. I dont know much about the spider diff but I think it has extra gears inside plus beautiful alloy case it has to be stronger than anything standard included.

  10. You can make your own light controller from an old servo. The little clear blue micro servos are great for it. You just desolder the servo motor then solder on a female jst plug in its place. Plug the leds into that and the original servo plug into the rx.

It can be a real pain finding the spot where it works though. Dialing the servo pot and radio ch3 trim.

Its best to have a 3 position switch 3ch radio you can get half power, full power or strobe modes usually doing it.

  11. Those goolRc combos are brilliant arent they tons of power my kids stampede has the 60a 3500kv fitted too and just on 2s it looks good next to my 1/8 powerd 3s slash brilliant power we might try the goolRc on 3s soon just to see if it can handle it lol.

Hopefully the brushless model arrma has some upgrades easily to order that will help the arrma.
