    Layout changed starting grid and barrier made from left over conduit , this car is a slow car but its 1:43 scale apparently , just means i can deffo race 4x 1/64 or 2-3 of slightly larger , need to buy a few more t-pieces to make more turns , and make it slightly more stable but its nearly there

    First problem i have come across is that i fetched a 1/43 scale car to test track , lambo car from tescos, it goes round ,its nit very fast but ive taken one t-piece out and shortened the other ,its probably because cheap little rc have slow weak servos but its still fun especially for 5 and 12 yr old , on rainy days haha

    Ended up going with a different design, i used 16x16 electrical conduit and its couplings from wickes, came in at 18 with tiles all in its cost 27 pound not bad for a bit of fun .

    Yer i thought about using the wood dowels that flat pack furniture uses , then some rubber strip as you say drill holes in it and put in , but wondered if would get loose over time ,ive also got some sticky back velcro thinking removable barriers

    Yer im thinking 15 mm high draught excluder in white its self adhesive rubber just a thought and if it dont stick forever ill contact adhesive later

    Me and the boy love our scalextric so we decided on building our own micro rc track for the living room , i have a budget of 40 including cars , we are building a track for coke can racers essentially , i was going to build it with plywood but after going in our local pound shop i found 3x 30cm square foam tiles for a measly pound ,strange that in a pound shop.

    Yep all we have ever broke is couple driveshafts but they where old any way 7squid later and 10 mins up and running again ,the lipos increase runtime 2-3 fold over the nihms , mines needed 2 new motors but at 8 quid each it dont hurt the bank

    Cant beat an adjustable transmitter , i fly our truck about full pelt my 5yr old son gets only 30%set on the trajsmitter and can dono harm but has fun
