  1. No time for me guys, I am out of the country 4 days of the week and the other day I am busy looking after a new project we have going on! Also the RC's aren't my priority but I have some time Saturday Also yeah I do, I have done it for about 7 baja's/5ives now
  2. I have taken the KM apart for upgrades I am afraid. I just am addicted to building them (want me to fix yours for you?) I have already blown the plastic diff casing so it's time for some metal bits I could be persuaded to come along
  3. Yeah it isn't broken just bend them back, it will still work as long as there is clearance.
  4. New clutch is here yay! No more slipping.

  5. I actually really like that, would make a nice trail of smoke out the back and anything that keeps the oil from the exhaust staying inside the car is a bonus as long as it doesn't hinder power too much
  6. Can you PM me a price on them both dude? Or even put one up.
  7. Thanks dude! Here's the photo's that were taken of us on the way in with the other GTR's
  8. Just a update with some photo's the car was at the SuperCar Siege event at Leeds castle in Kent on Sunday, on the GTR stand. Was a brilliant day out and I got very burnt yay
  9. I want one for my KM evo! So pretty.
  10. What a shame they are using stickers
  11. Update time. Took the car back to Bob at Zealou5 and he very kindly had a look at the car whilst I was there so I was able to drive home in it, the conclusion is that there were two leaks, one coming from the left rear light which he sealed very nicely for me and as far as I can tell is no longer leaking. The second larger leak we found to be a part of the new rear window seal hasn't been glued very well meaning when it rains heavily the water runs down the inside of the window into the boot. So on Saturday National Windscreens will be coming out to re-apply the rear window seal. Next up is the clutch!
  12. As we cannot post in FS threads, no way is that 5ive ever going to sell for anywhere near

Usual story .. owner spends a fortune then hopes to get their money back when they sell. Never happens. If it is upgraded, strip it and sell them or just take the hit

  13. Ahem...Excuse me.....Where the bloody hell is the build thread?
  14. Looks like the Losi Mini to me! Nice one bud
  15. Yeah don't worry dude there will be a thread as per my old 5ive and 5b
  16. Hate this thread, had to order one.....damn back to RC
  17. That's exactly what it's designed for dude extreme engine temperatures/heat and it is completely flame retardant. I am going for substance over style, it doesn't matter that it's gold its the fact it actually serves a justified purpose is why I will be getting it done! Here is the blurb from the website of the company that makes it:- Reflect-A-GOLD is a metalized polyamide polymer laminated glass cloth with a high temperature pressure sensitive adhesive for use in extreme temperature swing environments. It is lightweight and easy to apply and remove. Highly effective material for firewalls, fuel cells, engine covers, under hoods, engine compartment, bulk heads, seat bottoms
  18. Haha thanks dude I didn't notice the title all changed now Also thank you for the comments, it's been a dream of mine to own a R33 GTR and now I own one it did take some doing and they actually require more care than you would think in regards to general maintenance. Right now I see where you are coming from. In short the answer is no I won't be doing that. The car's paint will be all original as it would detract from the value of it. That includes the bay. However as the engine gets modified (planned for next year as this year its all bodywork) I will be fitting reflective cooling tape, which is used in race prepared cars and top fuel drag racers. This tape is actually gold in colour and will help in keeping the airflow around the engine cool. Here is a example of zealou5 doing it to another customers car:-
  19. Sadly the previous owner really didn't seem like he cared so I doubt if he ever noticed it at all. Also no Tami you are correct, compared to a lot of old 33's the majority of the extra rust you see in those pictures is just surface and can be blasted and painted so it wouldn't be a issue. Also I am not sure what you mean by, as in what are you referring too? :- Midnight purple those plastic pipes under the hood pull that body color into the bay itself ?
  20. The broken earth cable that was replaced for the battery (battery is in the boot) Car up on the ramp getting ready for it's surgery! Right so here are the before pictures:-
  21. That's the thing, it's not so much the boot itself that's leaking its more the rear part of the car that's leaking into the boot, they said they were testing it for leaks for the entire process and nothing came up, but the day after I picked it up there was very heavy rain so they probably didn't put enough water over it. No issue though as it's going back soon
