  1. Fella, ill give you a txt, sorry not been about much, busy with some music and graphics, and painting, phew, also on a bit extra meds for pain, so dont help.. I have to do my summit boots today, how the hell do i get the end shaft off? On a revo its a little bolt thing but the summit is different?
  2. Must say i like it mate, i am a green fan as you know though, not sure about the cage?
  3. In fact si a few guys who i speak a lot to in usa do use brushed systems fxr, and hh hand wound with no probs. It is frowned on here....even laughed at by some, but it does work, now i have said that you see what happens .
  4. Well, a lot use 2s lipo, allthough 3s are more common, not all the esc are fan cooled, look at tekin. I even ran brushed in mine for a couple of weeks to get it moving while my stuff turned up, also im the states for some reason a lot do used brushed systems fxr for example, a lot depends if you dont use that much like once a week, it may last a long time, but then a re buildable brushed is better to replace the brushes, but in the long run you will buy sooo many brushes itl be thecost of a brushles. Coging is never an issue if you use your dig properly, engage and disengage as a matter of course then it wont happen, its only the differnce in front to back missing there gear ratio, sorry not explaining that well to today, too much meds... If you engage and dissengage your dig you wont get it, know very few people who do when using dig properly. Si, ill see if im gonna use my tekin stuffin my new build if not ill bung it in yours, its the 17.5t My new crawler is brushed so i may not need the other stuff. A lot of stuff is all about the name being better, sometimes it is, but there are a lot of non branded esc and motors made by the same companys, usually with lower or no settings as a result, this dont matter in a comp as you dont need a drag brake, the worms are your brake. It is poss for what your using it for mate, you could bung a brushed in, if you have stuff spare just try it, you will only kill it at worst, lol. But you will need the saddle pack lipos, again for what your doing 2s will be fine, and they are only bout 30 quid.
  5. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-CR-10-ROCK-Crawler-32T-35A-V2-ESC-brushless-motor-/230752164249?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item35b9e69999#ht_4082wt_1398 sorry fella been busy lately, this sort of thing isnt to expensive and will work ok, i knew someone that used to comp with one for a while and he did ok. its the worm drive that dont like the brushes
  6. ive never had any trouble with the fastrax ones, 4 hexes in the handle and only bout 12-15 pound
  7. +1 on the flysky gtb mine never goes wrong...touch wood. also have one as a 6 channel conversion
  8. you lot are the boy scouts, lol. wont miss that one in green jack
  9. indeed, your best bet would be a scout i think, unless you want to look about for a secondhand ax10
  10. wouldnt bother mate, just use a good spray primer then whatever colour you want on top, thats what i did with mine
  11. what shell do you have? as the standard wraith is panels?
  12. well yes but do check your seals on the receiver box first and i would put some vaseline or something round and over a few bits, i would try it through some puddles and streams for a whole battery pack first just to check it...........then video it
  13. have you tried re setting it sean,? do you know if its a similar procedure to the evx2? if so i have that manual here
  14. mine sean? its brushless at the moment with a 150 amp hk esc, i took it out on saturday, it just didnt work, steering, gears where fine just no movement, traced it in the end to the esc, when i got home had nothing to loose, so i stripped it, and found the connections really dirty, cleaned em up and its all fine now, i ordered the hard to get program cards for it, so i might just order another esc the same ones at the moment as a spare, as i already have the cards on order. if i go up later, dunno, its tempting for water resistance to go brushed, but if i keep brushless ill add the tekin. i know a lot go mmmp, but i have heard them losing grunt due to the sensor on them, not much but well you know, maybe wrong?
  15. no not now its all running again, i will be buying another esc, probably the same one as i have ordered the program cards for it as a spare. mind you i want to see how yours gos with the standard titan in, as the brushed is better in some ways in water, not as finicky as brushed, and i do have a water proof esc but would need to swap motors and add lvcs
  16. well, in theory and you can see it done, they will drive underwater. now thats ok, but the constant water getting in all the joints and screws will rust it out in the end, even if the electrics survive it, in fact i think with proper care, they will last longer than the rest. a god soaking is one thing but its not a submarine . glad i fixed my esc, had dodgy connections on the board, all ok again now
  17. i would be interested in the speed passion, mainly for bits so if you split?
  18. i have heard a lot of them that do this pad the whole body inside with foam, just in case. it also helps with the buoyancy also paddle tyres
  19. looks good jack, you seem well happy. and whats that a bmx track in your garden?
  20. what in the boat, lol, na its not me me, great vid though i thought, gonna have to try that down the pond, lol
