  1. me, i'll ask if the gaffer tomorrow if they are getting returned, usually the smaller plywood ones get skiped. They are only around 600mm dia. Cracking seats tho lol!!! im sure we have a few of the larger dia ones maybe around 1.2m. the 8 foot ones weigh are ridiculously but i highly doubt we would get them.
  2. managed to get a box of screws FOC today any news on the fencing staples Jordan?

  5. thats a shame. i'm going to clock off for the night charging my batteries for the weekend lol
  6. what on earth is that?!?! yeah i'll keep the cost down as possible scraping things up from site and stuff we've done it again lads http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=stats
  7. right the handrail will need to be done at a later date. i would like it to be built it properly. on sat/sun i will take the measurements and work out what will be needed and what cost it will be. better doing it right first time.
  8. One of those tubs that can go easily missing from the store perhaps Jordan? lol
  9. yeah handrail is a must, don't want to be mr health and safety but i recommend proper boots when on the podium. I don't want anyone slipping up there.
  10. i missed the polythene bit. it will probably accelerate the rotting process like a composting bin. the ones on the bottom will rot no matter what, that is a certainty. we need to treat them not wrap them in the plastic
  11. only 1 tub of paint shall be enough. 2 rolls of chicken wire. are the staples loose or bagged that you can get?
  12. that should fit 7-9 people comfortably.
  13. hmmm fair point with the weathering. if you have fencing staples kicking about it will save us a few
  14. no point in painting them first it will just look like a big wooden box in a random field. best leaving the natural wood colour to be shown so it looks well.... more natural and not out of place i'm not just bringing my battery guns i'm bringing my tool kit, i dont do things half assed
  15. I'm a as tight as a ducks butt at the best of times so buying things twice is not on my agenda
  16. Russell Saturday + Sunday NO MATTER WHAT!!!!! what can everyone bring to the table skill wise? i'm an electrician by trade and landscaper/fencer (wooden things round the garden not the sport) at the weekends. What sort of contacts do we have? Anyone in the building sales trade. My father in law could probably get us material at a great price (normally gets things at cost + 10%) My take on the stand. Stacking the pallets together like blockwork is the best method. Screwed together with 2" screws. Chicken wire tacked down with fencing staples. Steps up to the top unless we build it in a pyramid style. This would mean more pallets will be needed. If the overall height is going to be around 5-6ft it will need some sort of support. What kind of finish are you guys looking for a simple wood stain will do the trick. The track: How are we going to keep the piping down. Is the digger going to be scraping out the track only or is it going to be doing the jumps as well? What is the script with buying material? is it down to 1 person or can any of us go out get the material and produce a receipt? (Obviously putting it up on here before doing so) EDIT: just seen ross's post i'm free friday afternoon i can pick up whatever is needed
  17. Just pulled up at my new site near amadale, can count 10 pallets, will see if I can get them!!!
  18. I'll bring my tool bag from work, I'll get a new barrow and chain to lock it up and leave it there as I have no where to keep it lol. Will get a couple of spades as well. I can easily knock up the stand in 45-60 mins What diameter is the piping?
