    i wount be about on here much for a lil while as my modem has died grrr, so i have to do this at my dads.

    leopard is fixed....took all of 10mins to do, could have done that down there if i had took the spare hub wiv me lol.

    ill keep a eye out were i can for the next bash date

  3. Tbh mate, im still thinking Claydon as i have just been down there and its dry as hell, will be perfect on Sunday if its this dry as no rain is due before Monday, could def get a track marked out if enough of us drive around it lol

    well it just did lol, 3 months late but HAY!. so i have 2 leopard shells i intend to take a lot of time with it this time around and really make it look something special.

    i have no idea what im gona do yet tho

  5. dont look like ill be geting down to chrisp, to get my exhaust welded till next week, as my mum had a fall and is on crutchs, so i gota go help her while my dad is a work. so ill bodge a coke can fix around it just to keep the crap from spraying ova my shell sunday

    ooh and ill prob need a lift if poss mike? but ill let you know friday/sat for sure.

    and thay found scots car, thay pulled some scrote for bad driveing and took the car for no insurance as it was before scott had reported it nicked, so thay just went and picked the ******* up.

    but scot still wont get his car back or be able to see if there is stuff missing, or if its been damaged for anything up to 8 weeks acording to the plod dealing with the case.

    spose thats partly good news

  6. im looking to swap my fg leopard race 26cc for either a fg monster truck or a blackout v2.

    as the place were i tend to run my cars is very rough and i need more hight and suspension.

    my leopard is in good condition and perfect working order outher than it needs the proper beake disc puting in for the tuneing layshat brake.

    it has 2 sets of wheels to go with it, the spandard offset marder/leopard race off set wheels and spike tyres. and a set of fg baja wheels.

    both sets of tyres have a tone of life left and the squares are all good.

    the front has extendard axls and square drives for better steering grip

    the car is a 26cc cy, has new 1/4 scale hitec steering servo and a specktrum T/B servo.

    the shocks have just had a service and been set up as to a base set upsheet.

    it has just had a new rear hub,and all drive shaft parts on that side, and i have 1x spare rear hub to go with it.

    it has the fg 2speed fitted, with plastic spurs and steel pinions.

    the rear tower is alloy, and i have a second alloy tower to go with it, that has more holes so it can be set up how eaver you want.

    the fg tuned pipe has a crack in it at the moment but its going to be welded up soon as i get time to take it to a local welder, this does not affect the car at all, its just more noisy and spits crap ova the inside of the shell.

    the shell is fibire glass and sprayed in ford electric orange, but thats easy to respay as its fibireglass.

    i have made some alloy splash guards for it, as a tempery thing but thay work well and are not heavey

    im looking to swap it for either a fg monster or a blackout v2, either must be in full good working order, with no bodge jobs.

    the swap would be car only as i will be keeping my radio gear, and will have to be done in person as i WILL NOT POST

  8. nice work jay, im not a elecy fan, but thay look sweet.

    im thinking about puting my leopard up for a swap for a fg monster/black out as leo is more a racer than a basher. but weather ill get a swap for a good model remains to be seen, i would aslo sell it and go buy a fg monster / black out.

    but i shall see what happands between now and then

  9. yep your engine is defo sitting lower, cheers for taking the time to post that pic up......explains the issue clearly.

    To remove the engine is just a case of removing the 4 screws holding the mounts to the chassis.......obviously after removing throttle link, air filter....roll cage?...

    no need to remove air filter, i tend to disconect fuel lines and put a washing peg on them to stop leaking

  10. your mesh looks ok to me aswell,

    to be totaly honist its easy to mesh the pinion/spur, the trickyer part can be geting the layshaty pinion and diff gear mesh right coz of the way the engine mounts with the bolts bellow.

    once you have had the engine out a few times and have got to know your car you will know by the feel when you spin the spur with your fingers with the rear wheels off the floor, but i still do the paper test to make sure.

    here is a base set up guide you may find usefull from a fg only fourm

    Front

    Toe out between 5mm & 8mm

    17mm square drive blocks with these axles http://rc-car-online-shop.de/shop/en/pr ... 1pce-.html

    for maximum width

    3000wt oil in the shocks

    Rear

    Toe in 3 degrees

    Camber 3 degrees pushed down

    2000wt oil in the shocks

    For anti squat put 2 washers between the chassis and the forward lower ball joint.

    14mm square drive blocks for maximum width.

    keep the chassis level by altering the ride height on the shockers with the adjuster screws or clips. The rear wishbone should be level with the bench at rest.

    Droop. Sit the car on a box or stand so all 4 wheels are off the bench and all the suspention is free to move. Mount the shockers on the lower mount only. Adjust the front droop screw so that the shock JUST slides on the top mounting bolt with little or no compression. The rears can be done like this but more likely will have to be done so the angle isn't so servere that the drive shafts bind up.
