I used a 3s, 5000mah lipo in mine, just a bog standard one from hobbyking. Lasted for days off running on a single charge
All you need to do is change the connector in the box and you're good to go

I think that settles it then, I shall scout for the best price on the box.
Guessing the box has the white tamiya, as I call em lol, connectors?
Again big thanks bud ? ?

Seems very good value that... ??
-
Anyone toss in a lipo to suit the box?
Was gonna plump for the 12v battery but feel it may make the box a bit heavy lol...
Thanks again folks for all the input ??

That's looking very good... Many thanks bud ??

Hi Mr Drifta. I bought the fastrax all universal starter box that you have shared a link for.I bought it second hand in very good condition. It didnt pack enough punch to turn my Novarossi. It. would sometimes maybe turn it once or twice then the motors would just stop. I bought two 775 motors to replace the 550 motors and it wouldn't fit the mounting bracket. I wasted my money trying to save cost and in the end i went to model sport today and just bought a SMD starter box. It work great! It really is a good box no one wants to pay 70 pound on a starter box. But if you want a good box just get the SMD it won't let your expectations down.
What battery setup you using bud?
And big thanks for the above info... ??

Like to settle the lot around £100...
Led to believe I may need balance boards too..?
Just after something that can do all round types, ideally able to offer battery care features and won't bankrupt me ??

I think not including four boards is a bit weak, after all, it is a quad charger......One could say the item is not fit for purpose, were pedanticism strong within a person....
I just feel abit wary of mixing an matching electronics when it comes too this sort of thing lol, the boards dazp linked are probably more than safe/suitable but jus would of been nice if they offered it as an option...
Plus it looks like I will only use the two pin connection on them boards so all others will go too waste lol

Cheers again all ??

That's a nice price for a single output.
Double your budget and you can have a quad (4x100w)
For 2s up to 8000mah 80w is plenty, I'd just get a couple of Overlanders for what you need.
You could get seperates:
This:
And 2 of these:
400w for £80.... hmmmmm.

Single output charger and tbh, it doesn't have the clout to use parallel charging.
As a single output charger, is capable of high mah 2s pack charging at a full, 1c rate.
Hmmmm cheers Noj....any recommendations as I will be charging max say two batterys at a time, but want the ability to do more if I choose..;
Did see a thread below on a dynamite iirc but @£150 it a touch pricey BUT if it will fit my needs I'm game, long as I don't need too buy more leads/boards/ shares in Microsoft too use it lol

https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=399635
Just abit put off as it's says I need a PC too use it lol, don't want too buy it then have too spend a week online too get it going lol
I run lipos upto 2s at the moment but I'm after a starter box for my nitro and I fear this will need some clout too power it, so can this charge different size/type's of lipos at once?...eg 2s on one output, say a 6 on another??
Any input greatly received...Cheers MSUK ?
