  1. They do a roller!! http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/cml_product.php?menu=rc_cars&productId=0000006054
  2. ...............you want one now hey!
  3. Or get a Starter box mate. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ansmann-RC-Nitro-Car-Starter-Box-1-10-1-8-Twin-Motor-/250900823686?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3a6adabe86#ht_1323wt_952 IMO Don't **** about with retro fit rotor starts, it will all end in tears! (Its just a box with a big rubber wheel that you lower your cars flywheel onto to spin the engine over quickly to start it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iycg2PekCew&feature=related
  4. Yer I think ill be going for a RB one RTR, unless they are going to bring out another version in the near future, then Ill wait for that. Bang for buck its a win win! (even tho I don't want the starter & radio etc)
  5. My car never holds tune and I'm good with the setting up, use a temp gun all done properly. Im going to try and fit a Mach .28 carb to it (if it fits) see how it goes. But yes the engine is very good when on tune, but I will never have another one.
  6. Clear..... However dont do the blow thing, just put trottle open and pull it over ten times. This is ample to prime it. Cheers
  7. Ive been seriously looking at getting an upgrade for my old Kyosho MP7.5/Neo and get into 1/8th racing more seriously. At First I was looking at the MP9 (second hand) however already being a Kyosho owner I know how expensive and hard to source parts can be and second hand is not always great, soooo that idea went out the window! Then I thought that I liked the look of the Losi 8ight 2.0, but I hear the quality is not fab and the parts are prone to wearing out quite quickly even tho parts are easy to get and at decent prices. At the moment its a toss up between the RB one and the Xray 808 11 spec, the xray looking the better quality but look at the stats: XRay 11 spec: Race roller..............£412 Plus engine @ £170 ish, plus servos @50, plus radio £££ plus bump pack £15 charger £10, shell paint £30, wheels/tyres £ 28, Tuned pipe £45 quid. So to get half way on your way the Xray needs about £700-750 quid to be ready to race. RB One: Roller, engine, tuned pipe, bump pack, 2.4 system, Savox servos, and on and on......... all for £434. As sexy as the Xray 808 is, can it really be worth the extra money?
  8. Ps, my engine has had near a gallon thu it.
  9. Hi. I run the same engine, its a total pig to start when hot, if you start it very quickly after a stall its fine, but leave it 20 seconds and you have no hope until its cool. The problem is that the fuel evaporates instantly when the engine Is hot in the carb making starting very hard. Unfortunately the engine is a poor one all round, never holds tune and often cooks itself, the carb O rings are the main issue and should be replaced with non kyosho items. Good luck mate.
  10. The RB ONE.......hummmm. I've always looked over the RB one mainly because of the low price, but for one moment I had a look at the little ready to RACE package they do! OK so I know that RB make some nice engines but what is this all about. At first I thought "oh fab it comes in 4 colours" great advertising campaign RB!!! and turned my nose up at the mostly plastic items the kits made of , then I had a close look and............................It really good!!! and for the price and general spec its just brilliant! Has anyone raced one yet competitively?? can we compare this to the hyper star or losi 8ight? Or is it just another JQ THE CAR.....quirky but pants!! (sorry JQ owners lol).... is it just a posh basher? What's the word? cheers
  11. This engine .28 uses 3 needles on the carb HSN LSN and MSN (yep middle speed) My mates hyper 7 with the .28 (before the crank snapped after less than a gallon thu!!!!shock???) used to bog down giving you the impression it was running rich, infact the problem was that it was running lean and needed a slight adjustment on the LSN to make it a little richer. The engine did like to idle quite fast and was happy quite rich at the bottom end. Also the stock fuel filters can be a pain on these we found, by letting in air, try taking it out and see what happens. His Temps were around 130 to 160 using an OS8 plug. I don't know the factory settings but I'm sure a quick google will show them possibly? if your really stuck let me know and ill call him up for you. ......................................but It will probably destroy itself soon anyway good luck mate
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HYPER-7-8-STEERING-SERVO-ALSO-FITS-KYOSHO-CARSON-LOSI-/220860452910?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item336c4f102e#ht_500wt_1156 As above link, superb item and for a 10er! I can vouch for them I have one and two mates have just fitted them. Ding dong.
  13. Hi I got a cheap set of wheels and tyres (18 quid), however I'm getting constantly hindered by the sides peeling off and spitting the foam out. I do repairs with super glue for rubber and plastic but once again I keep spitting the foams out!! Surely super glue is good enough for the job? what is the proper tyre glue like I've never used it before? Any pointers please? Thanks Adam I tug on the sides and they are ok, but then off them come again and again!!!
  14. You say its second hand, if so what sort of compression does the engine have? I can't see why the car would spit fuel out from where the clutch is? that's very odd! Check the plug has the small copper gasket. Get back to us and we can move on, we will get it sorted
  15. For my spares I use: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/kyoshospares/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 He's a good seller and always sorts me out, very good if you have any issues or questions also. Kyosho parts are a pain to get hold of in the UK hey and cost a bomb. As for hop ups, I don't really know for the fazer, try a google search. Cheers.
  16. Yer thats about right, up to bout 8 mins max, you are probs still running a little rich if its new yer?, you got a temp gun?
  17. Kyosho are a fortune for spares (trust me), 3 to 4 times that of most other makes. They say the Kyosho quality is better but I cant warrant the extra price paid. My mates hyper 9 for example, for a rear swaybar (anti roll bar) £3.50, the kyosho version........£17. Losi clutch bell £6.....Kyosho....£21. And thats if you can find a UK dealer who keeps stock. Nightmare. The MP9 and the MP777 are sexual but just try a e bay search and you soon realize how hard parts are to find and how expensive they are (for us in the UK). However they have been 1/8th rallycross world champs a million times so they must be doing something right. Losi parts are easy to get and readily available (ebay it), if I was to step up a level the Losi 8ight 2.0 EU race roller of the Hyper star EU would defo be my weapon's of choice. And for a RTR the losi 8ight wins again for me, the package is fantastic and super value for money and you wont look silly in the pits.
  18. The hyper star is great, the other three are ****. in my opinion. You want this little puppy: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/losi-8ight-2.0-rtr/rc-car-products/34993 The hell with it, go mad.................... http://www.apexmodels.com/gbu0-prodshow/K31782.html
  19. Ah I see. Many thanks guys, ill have another look
  20. So this: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/etronix-photon-1-10-brushless-system-10.0r/rc-car-products/39696 with a: http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&safe=off&q=(1S)+3.7V+lipo&gs_upl=5126l15047l3l16472l1l1l0l0l0l0l200l200l2-1l1l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1152&bih=773&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=8551684416402848052&sa=X&ei=y-h8TpvqOJGv8QORr4R5&ved=0CHcQ8wIwBQ would be ok?
  21. will do. So what does all this 6000kv stuff mean? I understand the turns and windings on a motor? is this the power the motor can take? and the ESC are rater like 40amp 60 amp and so on? I don't mind doing a mild retrofit to get the modern batts to fit, Ill take a google at the situation.
  22. Ive just got one now off e bay, I cant resist it. I can think of many ways I can use it as work n all. Mu hu ha ha ha MU HU HA HA HAAAAAAAAR.
