    Anybody still buy the monthly magazines? Must admit, I haven't bought any R/C mags in 15 years or so, or since I bought my Kyosho Sandmaster (Long time ago!) I'd have thought most info was available on the likes of this fine forum, but what magazines are worth buying?

    I'll be honest and say the text in bold is the main purpose. Thanks for that - puts things in perspective. Somebody up there has already hinted at the Firestorm Flux, and there are some good deals. Might go for that, and a NiMh set up first of all, then possibly progress to LiPo at some point.

    Thanks so far. To be honest, the issue is more with the actual car itself. Can I get better than the RC10 for the same price? I'm quite happy going with NiMh battery packs until I get more into things, and then "upgrade" to lipo kit at some point.
