  1. The bloke who sold it said he had put new piston and liner in before he sold it to me. Had to brake it in. I think it's just my lack of experience that is causing all my problems. I'm sure this car would fly in the right hands.guess it's a true art tuning a nitro engine?
  2. God damn. Lost my rag earlier with the bloody thing. Broke the pull start now. Ain't gonna be doing anything till I get a new one. I bought thi car over a month ago on eBay second hand. I swear, this car ha spent more time in bits than actually working. Do engines get to a point where they are fit for nothing and time for a new one?
  3. Right, so I have installed a brand new carb on my 21 engine. Set the new carb to factory setting and nOw I can't start it? If I manage to get it running for 5 seconds or so the amount of fuel that comes out the pipe is crazy. What am I doing wring? I know it's way to rich, due to the amount of unburnt fuel. But why? It's set to factory settings! Please help?

  7. Not sure that I can? The needle it's self has 2 little o rings. May be I could seal the sleeve that the needle sits in? But I take it a little air escaping is not normal?
  8. Hi all Just looking for a bit of advice with my Hyper 21 4 port engine. Took engine out today to check for possible air leaks as i've been getting a few little bubbles in my fuel line. Done the soapy water test today and have found that when i blow (no clever comments) the bellows around my low end needle come out and air escapes? If i screw the needle all the way in it has a tight seal, but when the needle is set for running it leaks. Im new to Nitro so just want to know if this sounds right or weather it should be air tight all the time? Also, there is a tiny nic in the bellow, wiill that affect the engine whilst running? Regards
  9. Hi all Another novice Nitro owner here Had my hyper 7 pro out today, trying to run the engine in. killed 3 plugs so far. I have noticed that there are little bubbles in my fuel line when the car is running? This cant be right? Can it? What could be causing this? Ive replaced all of the old fuel line with new tubing, there are no leakes from what i can see? Any help would be great?
  10. Thanks Moorlander Had it out this morning. Performed many heat cycles, and put many tanks through whilst doing a gentle figure of 8. Then started to speed up. The car has how had 2.5 litres of gen2 20% through it in total since i had it. Thats about half gallon i believe? The car has started to run much better, but alas the death of the 3rd glowplug ended my session. After inspecting the plug, this time the plug coil has turned white and a little deformed. teh previous 2 were all black and brogen up? Am i on the right track? I have also noticed that there are bubbles in my fuel line when the engine is running? Im no pro, but i would thing that this is not normal? Im gonna stat another thread regarding this issue.

  13. just performed 1s heat cycle again from scratch. Took plug out and it seemed a little wet.not too bad, Wiped my finger over the end and left residue on my finger. Does that sound about right for factory run in settings?
  14. Thanks for the replys Ive set it back to factory setting. Master 5 turns out from in low end 3.5 out turns from flush mid neadle flush It's now ticking over at low rmp but there is very little smoke at the moment? Is that right? i've performed a few heat cycles already, but will try again? Little worried that there is minimal smoke on tick over?
  15. Hi All This is my first post, i'm new to Nitro car's. Bought a second hand Hyper 7 pro l on ebay. It came with a Hyper 21 4 port engine. The guy who sold it said he had just installed a new piston + liner so would need running in. Im using Byron 20% gen 2 fuel with OS no8 plugs. I've been on the ofna site and followed the run in instructions. SO far i have burnt out 2 plugs? when i remove the plugs the coil is deformed and twisted and slightly black. The outer side of the plug is slightly black to. What am i doing wrong? I know there is loads of posts the same as this but not with my fuel and plug so would like some expert advice? I dont think im running too lean as i get good smoke out of the car most of the time, but somtimes there is none? Today a brand new plug was burned out in less than 5 mins? Can some one please help?
