    hi all just wanted to show everyone the baja. got it off a forum member with loads of upgrades. px for my losi 8ight-t. had a small problem at first where the pullstart went almost immediately after getting it so got a new pull start on set to factory settings and it was a good runner popped on some small upgrades. ddm fuel tank cap, also got the rcmodelz ddm clone on there ain't run it yet hoping to improve take off. also the windows to stop all the crap getting in. combined with the outerwears keeps a lot of muck and grass out. next things will probably be a OBR engine, and some silverback rc beadlocks

    hi didn't update my thread because been busy with buying new 1:1 car. last time l run my baja l busted rear tyre after doing donuts too long and the tyre insert split in 2 pieces as well. l am going to buy a new set of rear tyres from rcmodels, but the inserts from them are too soft IMO. could anyone post a link with tyre insterts for 5T or T1000 for reasonable price and quality as well. thanks...

    Also you may want to put a couple of layers of this on the wall of the tires. you will be surprised how much it helps.

    But as original says zero growth foam I have them on my hostile mx tires never had a problem :)

    I have just spoken to the company director and we will be getting a chip and pin terminal in the next couple of days. I will update the website when this is operational.We at RCMODELZ are grateful for any feedback received, we are always willing to listen to any genuine complaint as we strive to give the best possible service we can. :thumbsup: .

    I've found pastry can have an affect on needle settings.

    Yes I found that out out. I tried to tune the Baja with a mince pie. Thought I would get into the spirit of things it didn't go to we'll got pie in my carb and smells like mince when I run it. I also rammed a Cornish pasty into the fuel tank. She's a good runner now thanks for your help guys

    I could have payed online from the comfort of my armchair if they had a notice online saying they don't accept credit cards in the shop still seems strange a shop selling expensive merchandise and not accepting credit or debit cards.

    If it was me and I went in. To pay by card and didn't accept card I would of just walked round the corner and found the nearest cash machine (ATM) and went back if not in walking distance then maybe mile drive. Then It wouldn't of been a wasted journey

    quarter turn is 15 mins on a clock face or 90 degrees.  3/8's is between a quarter (15 mins) and a half (30 mins) so around 22.5 mins on a clock face.  Just go a little less than half an hour (30 mins).  So, 1 and 3/8ths from closed anticlockwise is what you need! You didn't relate it to a clock face though..........   :whistling:

    Is this a serious question? I've checked the calendar....no its not 1st April and not Friday 13th!  Assuming you're serious, one hour equals one full 360 degree rotation of the big hand, is that clear?  Therefore one and a half turns means one and a half turns the way a clock rotates, so 1.5 hours, so 540 degrees, does that make sense?

    I'm clear on the full turn. Just the 1/4 and 3/8 sorry new to all this petrol thing and needles sorry

    This may be silly and me being a idiot. But I want to set my baja engine to factory needle settings the carb is a walbro-668 I have found the settings. But struggling to work out exactly how much a 1-1/4 of a turn from closed is and also 1-3/8 of turn. I'm probably being a numpty. Any help would be appreciated.

    Fitted them this weekend, but not had a chance to run it yet. Will let you know.

    Feels better just testing on the bench...but the only real way to find out is to run the car and see how she stops!

    Good luck buddy I am getting a baja 5b soon I'm dreading brake problems let us know how it goes also have you got any pics of her. I have heard so much about nitros infamous baja. Just never seen if
