Tbh, i wouldn't worry about using a fuel filter. They are more trouble than they're worth and can cause all sorts of problems as regards lean fuel mixtures. Just be careful not to get dirt in your fuel and everything will be fine. If you really do want to put the fuel filter in then add a little extra fuel line and stick it in between the fuel tank and the engine, about half-way.

Hi all, its been a while since i posted on this forum and raced buggies. But work and a few other things got in the way of that, so i left it for a while and now my old cars engine has siezed up, but i'm looking to get back into bashing. I remember having my eye on the old Hyper 7, is this still a dicent basher? I need something thats going to take a beating, and doesnt need running every weekend. I still have a starting box that i think works, and some old fuel, (about 2years)
Any help would be good
Cheers

could i surgest unscrewing your glow plug a 1/4 turn to reduce compression and then doing it up as soon as its running.
Sounds kinda cool, a reverse engine.
-
Yer it could be the one way cluch or its all the wrong way around
-
Maybe you can always make it leak if you blow hard enough? I don't know.
Engine pressure should be atleast above about 30psi (depending on the engine) so u shouldn't be able to blow air out of your engine
But as said
Rant over -
No one's dun my sig yet
-
It does this when the engine is not on! and nothing is moving

Quick Guide to starting car
Turn on your transmitter
Turn on reciver
Put glow plug heater on
Pull pullstart (quick short pulls)
Turning it off
Many ways to turn of engine: Put your foot on flywheel is my favourite
but you can also cover the Air filter,
block the exhaust,
pinch fuel line
Then turn off reciver
Turn off transmitter

you can test whether the glow plug or the glow heater is working by taking out the plug and putting it in the heater. If it glows then everythings fine
If it glows for a short time and then goes out then the batteries are flat on the heater
If it dosent glow at all then the plug might be blown
always carry a few plugs around to test em, and then the fun wont be cut short

I know this i a sign of servo ware but is there anything else it could be
BTW: i tryed a new high torque servo (14kg/cm) with the other new standard servo and both of them worked fine but when i used the high torque servo the standard servo twitched violently?

Subject: CAR TAX
For all those car owners....This is real!!!!
Sarah Kennedy was on about this proposed car tax scheme on the radio.
Apparently there is only one month left to register your objection to the 'Pay as you go' road tax.
The petition is on the 10 Downing St website but they didn't tell anybody about it. Therefore at the time of Sarah's comments only 250,000 people had signed it so far and 750,000 signatures are required to stop them introducing it.
This is legit... from the 10 Downing Street's website.
Once you've given your details (you don't have to give your full address, just house number and postcode will do), they will send you an email with a link in it. Once you click on that link, you'll have signed the petition. The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working mother who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.
On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with your monthly bill. If you care about stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website (link below) and pass this on to as many people as possible.
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/
When i looked on that site it said that 970597 people have already signed which beats the 750000 sig's that u surgested
But i agree with others, this box is gunna be attached to people's cat's and dog's rofl

Hi all
Iam installing my 2speed cus schools off for another day
But installing the 2 speed moves the brake discs out a bit which means they get in the way of the slide carb
The manual told me to undo the carb and turn it so that it dosent get i the way
2 Q's Does the carb need sealing, and if so how can i do this
and the rubbery springy cover on the slide carb touches the engine, will this melt?
Thx

due to where the stock tank is and its design, when the fuel level is half used (in the middel of the tank) the engine runs leaner than usal, for this reason its best to tune with only half a tank of fuel, so when you run it with a full tank you don't have it running too lean and cause damage to the enigne
the mid tank mod basicly puts the tank where the radio box is, this stops the half a tank lean issue but due to the tanks you can use for thins you can get lower run times, you also have to do a bit of moving of the radio gear so the tank can be fitted, to make it easier people also put extended TVPs on their trucks so there is more room.
How much is that gonna cost me
are there any kits with everything in to do this
