Liking this kit as I am looking for a 1/10 scale car to build and start racing, was also considering the RB6 2wd which was recommended to me so not sure which way to go. As I am a newbie to the racing scene could someone tell me the advantages/disadvantages of 2wd v's 4wd and do they race in the same class?
I race at Maritime racing ( not too far from you ) .
2WDis more popular there but think was mainly due to drivers wanting something different as the club also runs touring cars which are 4WD.
2WD requires a more delicate throttle response and a different approach to braking.
You can start racing cheaply in 2WD and still find competitive heats.
4WD is generally more expensive to start out in.
4WD is not doubt easier to drive...
Pop along to us at Maritime (tuesday nights) or Eden Park and speak to the drivers there.

hate to make things worse, but its not even photoshopped, its all computer generated, can tell by the lack of reflection in the shell.
Even worse, it looks like it's from Forza 4 on the xbox 360.

Lol Racing vrs Bashing argument....
Now I've bashed with TW and I've bashed with Medway Ultimate.
I've raced for 2 years....
Here's the difference.
I can take my race buggy to Gillingham bowl and do double backflips with it, no problem.
I can drive around and around in circles with no restraint
But I bet my whole car, you'll not be able to take your basher into a track.
keep it between the lines, do the jumps, turn the corners, keep it on its wheels for a whole 5 minutes.
Most Bashers are very linear.
They either drive the car away from them and return it towards themself.
They're lining themselves up for ramps and can only judge their approach this way.
Racers have to drive the car in all directions, off road have to lineup their ramps from all directions,
On road have to judge a racing line for all directions.
I'll stand on JayAVFC' side here.
In fact, I'll make the statement
Any racer can go bashing, but It takes a practice and skill to turn a basher into a racer.

Urmmm.What was wrong with having a mad monster truck? I mean I can see the appeal for racers, but for bashes like me , I'd have it turned off.
Discussed this today at a race meet and no one liked the idea or would use it.

Anyone running any different shells ? Apart from STD or the pick up/jeep ?
As the wheelbase is 225mm I was thinking of trying to fit the HPI Datsun or HPI BMW 2002 shells.

Nanda Blocks are awesome Nitro or Electric. I've recommended loads and everyone who buys them doesn't complain.
If you're running on tarmac then I'd expect wear. But offroad they're fantastic.

We had 28+ people turn up today for our bash at Gillingham.
Its was great with a good mixtures of cars, 1/12th, 1/8th and 1/5th.
But we want more........

I think it's aimed at the leccy market, but they've not fitted any lectrics as they know the only option worth going for is the MGM ESC, and that's approx
