  1. Where did you get them from Danny... Do you have a link.
  2. Sorry about that Vimto, they were stainless steel not aluminium...
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TEAM-LOSI-PAIR-LST2-SHOCKS-/110665411273?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item19c42c2ac9#ht_533wt_922 Check this out. Cheap ones. I think they normally sell around
  4. Thanks for the advice guys. Still learning.
  5. Thanks for the help Danny and Jay. I did think about leaving parts in plastic although I was thinking more of leaving the carriers and spindles. I thought that of they didn't give way, the next part to break would be the turnbuckles which could take a few parts with it.
  6. Yes. All you need are the correct screw sizes.
  7. Anyone has a link for aluminum shock towers? Thanks
  8. I think he only sourced all the screw from his local electrical shop...
  9. I think so...he said no problems with rust as well. And they look good.
  10. @Guns: a guy on eBay sold them quite cheap. They're fully assembled blue body for
  11. Thanks for the advice guns. I'm waiting for a set of blue shocks then I'm planning to change the shaft into the TiNi ones. Someone told me they're not all TiNi tho, only coated.
  12. That's great news man. Glad to hear that. Managed to replace my bent shock shaft today so truck is back in action. Just wondering what could have caused that to bend. It did do a cartwheel but there's no damage anywhere else? Here's a photo of the bent shaft:
  13. Suffered by first break today. I Don't really know when it happened but I think it's when the truck cart wheeled after a fast turn. The right shock rod was bent. Luckily nothing else broke. now need replacement. Does anyone know if there is a disassembly guide for the shocks and what shock oil to use. Thanks! Oyes one more, The telemetry was readiing that the engine was overheating at 230F when the fuel tank is almost empty, is this normal if not what to do? Thanks Again!!!
  14. the HPI cleaning spray works wonders. dries out quickly and no residue. Compressed air...give it a blow...then a dry paint brush for those hard to reach places. for the wheels I normally take them out and use a water spray can and toothbrush.
  15. Put a complain on eBay. They should at least give your money back.
  16. Sorry to here that Guns. I ran mine aswell yesterday after the break in and it was really good. Still running rich as it started raining before I could finish tuning it. Im new at this so don't know what to look for aside from the temp which luckily the dx3s is doing for me. So how would I know if theres something broken, aside from the obvious ones, especially the diffs which you can't really see?
  17. I think you need to make a complain as im sure that it is against eBay policy to put something up for auction or buyitnow if you dont have the item in your possession. Sometimes sellers mark them as shipped in eBay just so they don't get in trouble but in fact they are still waiting for stocks to come.
  18. Hi Guys, I have a ccouple of questions: 1. What body shell (aside from the obvious) would fit the XXL? 2. Di I need to remove the entire engine to replace the engine brace? Sounds like a lot of work. Thanks!!!
  19. Just check everything again. Could just be something simple like a missing pin or worst diff was put wrong way around.
  20. Guys just a heads up. Saw it on eBay. Merlin is selling their LAST XXL. So if someone is planning to get one cheap hurry up.
  21. Someone can actually earn by buying one and selling it in bits.
