Today I took apart the entire rear suspension and diff. Tomorrow after it's cleaned up more and re-greased I will put it back together. Should get some build progress pics up as well. Good news the instruction manual has the spare parts and hop up list included!

You should be able to feel if the cylinder is compressing by removing the engine and turning it by hand? There is a pinch feeling towards the top as the air is compressed.... I think that is correct?

How long can you do donuts and drag runs for? Perhaps fun if you knew a good few people with them and you could have drag races etc....other than that I would it gets boring pretty quickly.

You would hear it change gear....at some point the engine now would revert to a lower RPM noise surely?

Ahh that's my chassis! Nice to see someone else with it. I got the instruction book through the post today from ebay. Should help putting it back together and getting bits for it. Also got the BBS style split rims today to go with the porsche GT 2 shell. Well happy!

I'm almost tempted to get really hardcore and shorten my chassis to fit my Tamiya Taisan Porsche body to it. Could easily keep msot parts and get new top and bottom deckmade. So tempting!

Have you got the box? Or the manual? Your looking for a Kyosho GP Spider MKII. Spare parts are really hard to find for these things at the moment it seems. It's a proper old car. I am sure they did a McLaren body yes. Could you take some pics of the car with the shell off? I'll tell you if it is the same car. If you don't know how to post them here let me know and I'll give you my email address. Do you think he might want to sell it on if it's too hard for him to find bits? Modelsport stuff....half a bottle in the garage. Must be well off by now! This car makes me think after run oil is a farce? We'll see when I get the engine apart.

It seems recently that I have invented my self a new hobby; restoring old R/C cars. I am currently working on my Kyosho GP Spider MkII nitro car...circa mid 90's. Today I find myself with the wheels/shell for a Taisan Porsche 1/10th Tamiya Electric....but not chassis!!! The chassis in question was only sold with this shell and is the Tamiya TA-02SW. It is basically a short and wide TA-02. The rear suspension has been turned around to create the shorter length. Then some wide wheels with extreme offset to create the width. I was wondering if anyone has one of these lying around they want to get rid of...or know of anyone who might have one? I can get plenty spare parts <maybe the whole car?> but I would like to find an intact chassi first. I think I could manage with a TA-02 or the TA-02SW...either or really... So can anyone help me restore this rare and really awesom looking car?

The Tamiya is what I am after...spares or repair will do!
