Also if i was to go for the 18t and the novak esc would my current gearing be alright or should i change that too ?

How much you after for the 5000mah batteries ?

i got 2 with it both 7.2v, ones a 1400mah the others 2000mah niCad

Thanks for all the replies so my plan should be to get a 17x2 turn motor and a descent esc or just have it as a drifter... i put some drift wheels on the car as it is and it seems to drift well to me i dont get what locking the dif actually does or is it not worth it for me as id like to still stick regular wheels on to have a play around also

Thanks that clears some stuff up i did look throught the essesential TL upgrades and i had fitted bearings throughout im not going to be racing its just a bit of fun which id like to be faster than my friends TL's . My main question at the moment was would that GT tuned motor go in without changing my current esc and gears ? and what was ment by the 15t motor and esc being too much for my car ? Thanks

Bump ! Got a new shell and wheels now ! Anyone got a motor and esc for my Tamiya TL-01 its completely standard so anything better than the stock motor considered thanks !

Hi ive got a Tamiya TL-01 completely standard but now im looking into upgrading parts ive ordered a bearing kit which i have not got a clue what im letting myself in for but id like to get a new engine and obviousley suitable esc im new to this to im not after something stupidly good just something better than my standard motor thanks. Also the shells i got with my car are smashed so if anyone has anything half descent ill be interested thanks !!!

Hi peoples ive always wanted to get into RC cars i had a nitro car a while back and crashed it 1st time i took it out then gave up so ive got round to getting a new car i bought a 1/10 scale tamiya im not sure what model etc im clueless but id like to get more into it now id obviousley like it to be FAST ! but definately dont know how to go about this and i also need to get it looking good as the shells i got with it are smashed if anyone has a descentish spair shell and any different wheels i have cash waiting thanks !
