  1. i love my little sand master, its not the best by far but with a 9t brushless in it its a hoot to drive!

change the wheels and tyres to some wider buggy ones. FTX vantage ones are a great budget tyre for them.

only thing that will drive you mad is the poxy clip on body panels!

i run a 2s and 3s lipo in it, both from hobbyking i will get you links to them if you get one as the battery is loaded from below so space is tight. i went and searched for the biggest mah of each i could find that fitted lol

all in all tho its a great little buggy for the price! i would go for the kit version, cheaper and you can spec your own radio and running gear.

oh and get a RW pinion, stock is plastic and wont last long.

  2. motor sounds ok to me mate.

might be worth taking the diff apart to see maybe if it is that or not. at least it will rule it out if it isn't. plus its practice at doing it for servicing wise

also just check drive shaft cups are all in order. i think they will be but no harm in checking.

it's acting like a stripped gear looking back at it now. happened to me when my spur gear had stripped once.

  3. It also means that the tx will stop working for three hours each day as it takes 'lunch'. It may also run away at the first sign of conflict.

or if it puts out white smoke its a sign of surrender, which it will probably almost immediatly.

  4. Run the motor fan directly from a spare channel on the Rx.

Question, why fit one? A hot motor is often an indicator of other issues, wrong gearing, binding in the drive train etc...

to be honest the traxxas stuff is so crap they always run hot no matter what gearing you use.

how are you using 4 channels?

  5. i'm hoping red bull just flop so much they can't even get a race finished.

don't know about everyone else but it seem's every sport you watch the leaders or winners are covered in red bull logos!

i would like hamilton to win it sure or any other english driver! also i don't want the stuck up arrogant class a reject that is alonso to win either!

race's where we don't know who will win etc is what i really want.

last year was so predictable, oh it's going to be seb again... fun.. turned it off after a couple of races and never watched another after that.

  6. I

Is that before or after they fall apart and you have to fix em

you must of had a bad one of drove like a nutta haha

all of my tamiya have been super reliable! the only thing i have ever broke is a bodyshell on my fighter bugger and that's it.

the traxxas has been worse than all my tamiyas combined.

  7. Is it a stock Tamiya ESC? If so, nope!

    MSC bud not ESC

to answer i'm not sure what the motor rating for those are mate. but they are not very efficient where as a ESC is.

your best bet is to get one of the MS ESC's. not much money to be fair just make sure it can run your motor. the one posted is forward ONLY so no reverse.

  8. as jea said the motor is most likely to much for the ESC and its cutting out.

they have an 18T motor limit meaning you can only use 18T and above motors, they did a newer one with a 17t limit as well.

you need to see what T motor you have as we can't see it from the pics.

  9. No girlfriend no problem!

Mind you and 'potential girlfried material' i know of don't mind in the slightest :)

best get on that one soon then bud

my mrs don't give a dam about the contents of my man cave haha i've had shed loads delivered since living with her all she says is its your money not mine ha perfect :D

  10. I heard its best to store them in a freezer?!

i am not sure on that you know.

as when a cell is cold the voltage drops. when i run my car there is a difference in run time in the winter and summer

so say you stick them in the freezer at storage voltage the voltage will drop and could drop below minimum voltage thus ruining the battery.

i like to keep mine at room temp
