  1. If you understand how nitro engines work and get to grips with the whole nitro thing there isnt really any hassle . It all comes down to the user and what they want from the hobby . Personally i like all formats nitro, petrol and leccy.
  2. picco 28 is a good reliable and very powerful pull start engines . modelsport uk sell them and some good 21 engines but you'll need a starter box for the decent ones
  3. picco 28 are wicked engines but the Lrp 32 is epic for power
  4. sounds like conrod or crank shaft is foobed it will be covered under warranty just a pain in the butt though
  5. heat the engine up using a heat gun or even a hair dryer you ideally need it to be around 200f then use a flat blade scew driver to turn the flywheel from the under side of the chasis .You'll need to stick the screw driver through the opening and against the chasis to pry the flywheel round if you get me. It's common for the piston to stick at tdc when running in an engine in especially a good quality race engine. Don't forget to make sure you heat the engine up and get it hot to expand the piston liner before try to move the fly wheel
  6. The switchblade from jolly Roger on here are quality kits
  7. Chung yang engines are made in Taiwan hence why the cy engines are good quality compared to km,dzy, smartech 3bolt ect which are chineese
  8. Im liking this alot wish id gone for one of these now may sell one of mine to fund one. Does the thunder tiger 2 speed transmission for the eb4 s3 fit the s2? Also have you upgraded your front chasis brace ? if so what with ? Does the s2 need anti roll bars fitting or is it fine for bashing without? sorry for all the q's but the more im seeing the more i like the look of these and im sick of the sight of hypers lol
  9. Yeah thats answered it lol Where do i get alloy servo horns to fit the thunder tiger servo's?
  10. how strong are these buggys for general bashing?
  11. Replace any stock items with ergal parts Have a read of this thread
  12. Just bought a nearly new hpi pulse so please close
  13. Hi all , Which is the better basher out of the box out of the two in the title as im going to order one tonight
  14. nah thats not too bad i know the sq baja's are not up to the quality of the hpi/km's but you would get your money back easy and more on ebay just for the complete baja then youve a load of spares to flog ! Good deal
  15. If you where able to start it without a glow start all i think of is these which ran on petrol /2 stroke oil mix http://www.mecoa.com/compagnucci/index.htm
  16. tomr

    well happy

Nice one it's great when ya find something that gives ya buzz (legally)
  17. they are decent for the money but not as good as a cy or zenoah head kit . A tuned pipe is your best power gain if you your not running one already they give a big power boost to an engine
  18. pleased it's going nothing worse than when trying to trace a fault
  19. modelsport should be able to order in any parts you need
  20. It sounds like your still rich on the hsn if it's stalling when accel hard which is good keep it rich until Brel in is finished. when your at the stage of giving it full throttle runs make sure there is a good smoke trail from the exhaust if it cuts out or splutters at full throttle Richen the hsn atleast 1/4 of a turn. It's a good idea to cut a hole in the windshield area of the body to allow better cooling of the engine. I found with mine I was always tightening the exhaust manifold bolts so maybe a good idea to apply some locktite to them and any other screws and bolts that fasten into metal. Watch the traxxas run in and tuning video on you tube as many times as you can as it will really help you understand and look after your nitro . Have fun
  21. Yeah know what you mean but i suppose it is a baja type rc but just not a hpi a km .Thats why it always pays to do a little research before spending your cash some one will be wasting alot of time and money on that heap.
  22. yeah Ive noticed theres alot of rc stuff out there that is a total waste of money The air filter covers seamed a good idea but bought a slassh gaurd type filter in the end but may test one of these after xmas.
  23. like I said for me it's just not worth it but hey some people are into that sort of thing I'm not rubbishing the guys idea
