  1. Hi, want to paint one of my losi rally body shells, looking for rockstar 1/24 decals or another good place to get good decal sheets to adapt to fit the losi rally?? Otherwise I tend to use a lot of coloured sticky back plastic!!!!!

  2. Just recently purchased a 1/16 scale losi SCT, has no drive, steering works but that's it, reckon its the motor but before I take it apart just want some input!!, if I need to replace whats a good motor, don't want to spend to much as hoping to sell it on as I have now got 2 of these, I could swap motors and see I suppose, any suggestions,

  3. Hi everyone,

We currently race losi rally cars inside on a garage circuit and use a free download on a laptop with webcam, this is good although we find it does give us issues with the choice of colour for the body shells.

We want to upgrade to. The next level, there are a few systems but what we need is a lap counting system that uses transponders and receiver modules that mount on a bridge over the track. The transponders need to be small to fit our 1/24th cars. Some I've seen are Robitronic lap counter, Trackmate counter and I-lap timing systems. Only ones we have found come from the states and cost a small fortune. Does anyone use a similar system or know where we can get such items in the uk?

    Thanks

  4. there is one mod you can do. its cutting abit from behind the steering arm it does make the turning circle better heres a pic of what you do will only take a few mins or if your feeling realy experimental you can do a resistor mod but not really worth it as you could damage your servo if you fluff it up.

all you do is cut away the peice of plastic you can see were the knife is

you may also want to try and cut part of the top cover were the motor is to let it breath a bit better as it gets alittle hot under there

Any chance to have a look at these photos again, keen to do the mods but photos are no longer available!

  5. Currently own 3 1/24 scale losi cars with various shells and bits, looking for a good way of storing them and transporting, I have one of the carry bags from the toyz.com but it's only good for 1 car,

Anybody have any suggestions? Only seems to be hauler bags out there for 1/10 scale and bigger.

  6. Just received a charger lead from the states, it is banana plug to hmx micro, I was informed this would be ok to charge my losi micro 1/24 rally batteries ( Ialso purchased a lipo which I put the relevant losi plug on, however just pluged it into my core-rc 50 and it flashes up reverse polarity, does this mean wires are round the wrong way??

I have charged what I can and not sure what the problem is, if you require any more info please let me know, grateful for any info and light that can be shed on this!!!

  7. So this is where you all are, found ya!!! Trying to get hold of some 24mm hex wheels for a good price, currently got bids on a few !!!, then just need to fit hpi converters on although might rag the vader wheels I currently have on, fitted the 11t haven't run it yet though so will wait to see what difference it makes, but as usual my life is way too busy!!!!! :whistling:

  8. I'm sticking with the 10T with the slightly bigger Elcon wheels on the HPI Hex's. With the faster 1717 motor and larger wheels fitted, I wonder if the Vader might be better with a 9T pinion, or 48T spur.

Trouble is I'm not really going to get a chance to give the setup a good test until the next race in two weeks.

Referrence the Hpi converters, haven't taken the wheels off yet, waiting until I get hold of some bigger wheels, I note I need grub screws for the converters, when I take the other wheels off is there one I can use from old set up, I have funny feeling you have posted this in previous posts so will try and look back, thanks!!!

  9. @Spriggan : too right about the bottomless pit! Cheaper than taking up Golf though...

I was reading about those Cap packs that Castle make, which I think are installed in the XO1. Seems like yo get a little extra punch and smooths out the current coming from the cells. I wonder if they would help take the load off the HW 150A ESC?

I play golf twice a week and have a Vader+ two kids, how do I do it ? (a big overdraft)!!!! I have never spent so much before I've had other RC trucks etc, but don't keep them long but the Vader is deffo a kepper!!!, Just fitted a 11t haven't tried it yet, put some threadlock on to play safe as others have done!!!, Need to resolder one of the Nano techs but no drama really, still have to fit the Hpi converters and sort bigger wheels, luckily a bonus is in the pipeline at work but thats spent already LOL!!!

Just a quick question (had to be some point to all my waffle I hear you say) I have fitted the 11t and have the stock bigger pinion on if that makes sense, what has everyone else upgraded to or have you left that as it is?
