Maybe I'll just try that, think Id just paint them silver again. Did you put a base coat or laquer on it?

As per title really , got a hotbodies GTX2 as my latest project and the wheels have big chunks of the chrome effect flaking off. Can anybody tell me a quick way to get it all off, preferably without having to take tyres off ? Edited to say : oops meant to post in General RC

Having had a picco and Lrp 28, the Lrp has been much better in performance and holding a tune. Hardly ever tune it for months ! I was disappointed with the picco tbh.

I'm not sure if it's race or not actually, must have a look.

A mate gave me some byrons 25% like 8 years ago, just remembered I had it in the garage tonight. So went and ran the hyper st Lrp 28 on it, coming from vp max basher 20% it seems to burn so much cleaner. I had to lean the low end in so much, and it is now snappy off the the line in a way it's never been. Going to use the byrons in the .26s in my gtx2 , hoping they will like like it better than the oily vp!

Does it need a different grade of fuel being a helicopter engine ? Really interesting car, I like it!

Ive had a few from eBay, mainly have been decent to be fair, had a couple of sheds. Got it a fly sky 2.4 on order.

Flysky 2.4 and a 6v hump pack ordered.

So I have just got a used hotbodies lightning GTX2. It has a 27mhz RX with 2 steering servos, one on each side of the car. First thing I notice is the throttle servo twitching badly, worse when the steering is turned. So I tried the 27mhz RX from my ts4n, which twitched less , but still did it. Next I tried disconnecting the steering servos, took one off the branched connection and the twitching reduced, took the other off and it stopped completely, the throttle was normal. Next step was trying old hobao servos I had lying around - with 2 of them wired up there was no twitching of the throttle at all. The GTX2 has 2 HD 1501 servos and a 27mhz RX - will a 2.4Ghz RX be able to run these servos without the twitching interference?

Well the seller didn't mention the throttle servo which jumps all over the place , the steering servo isn't too obedient either. I think the rx must be knackered as I tried another tx. The engines are hard to tune. I might end up putting 2 lrps in it.

I will do, I wont be bashing it too hard as its a bit of a curiosity / rarity , it will get quite an easy life!

Yes very! I didn't expect it to be so loud, even each engine on its own is a racket, louder than my LRP 28 with JP3! Better not run it too much here, the neighbours will hate me ( even more than they do with my nitros and full size cars )

Had to give the engines a try, they each fired up right away! Throttle / brake linkage is a mile out but that's what you get on every used car!

Well I've had the itch to own a twin engined nitro for a while now, so inevitably I've gone and bought one. Delivered today, a gtx2 which is in pretty good condition on first look, needs a new shell so I'll get that at some point. Fingers crossed it it runs ok as the seller promised !

To be honest its really quick as it is, its just at the point of being controllable at top speed! So I'll leave it like that for the moment. Its a fun little car The 15t gear is an ideal compromise of acceleration and top speed, Ill leave it at that too.

Looks like a fun competition , but if anybody can watch 45 mins of that coverage without being sick they deserve a medal!

10! How many rc cars do you have in total ? I see you have an amazing collection just judging by your member info!

Can you still get parts for those ?

Can't grumble for the money Im sure it will look good when you get it all cleaned up. And 2 speed as well, thats quite cool.
