A yokomo mr4 tc sd and a Xray T2 brushless seems best would i still be able to run my 2000nihm packs in brushless until i get some lipos from hobbyking? or would they be to weak?

The topic question says it all really do any of you guys still run brushed? is 40mph still achevable with brushed? I'm building two cars from kit and can't make my mind up what to go for brushed or brushless. my heart says brushless but due to the amount of money needed my mind says brushed. whats you're opinions is brushed still alrite or is brushless the way forward? I know most of you will say brushless but whats you're opinions on brushed?

Im ordering some lipos tomorrow from hobbking. I have never had lipos before so my question iis whats the advantage of getting the 5000mah 40c 2s lipos over getting the 4000mah 2s 30c packs.. will the 5000 give me longer run times than the 4000? Also i just ordered a e=fusion exceed 10.5 t esc and motor combo what pinion size should i start with in this its for a yokomo mr4 tc sd and will be used for bashing, would i right in thinking is hould start with a 25T pinion the spur gear is a 70 T. any help is appreciated thanks

I'm going lipo and brushless when they arrive. what run times would i see from a 4000mah 2s 20c lipo pack? running a 10.5 turn brushless motor would it be way better then my 4500 nihm packs? If i used a brushed motor would it last even longer?

hey guys i'm looking at getting a decent servo but don't know what everything means, I know as much as metal gears are better than plastic but what does more torque mean? does that make it any better, what is analog and digitial? Are high torque better for racing due to having more torque? I'm a little confused so a little guidance would be appreciated thank you.

Just bought two rolling chassis ones a Xray T2 and the others a Yokomo MR4 TC SD, will these cars be alright to run brushless? I was thinking of getting the fusion Exceed 10.5T will this be alright in the car to run with lipos? Also what pinion would you's recommend starting off with just to be on the safe side so I don't harm the esc? would a 17T pinion be okay to start with or is this to low for brushless pease help I know I've been posting the same questions over and over but I still dont understand what would be a Safe pinion size to start with in these cars. Is the idel FDT 7.5 in all touring cars as said on the novak website here http://www.teamnovak.com/tech_info/brushless/br_gearing.html Would that be a good area to start in??

just read on a forum on the internet that the higher the FDR number the more accelration you have but slower top end speed, my question is though that the lower the number is the faster it will be, so how much is to fast in a brushless motor set up? would it be insane to go to 12T or is 17T a good size to starts with, I would be hopefully running a 6.5t brushless motor so therefore that equivalent to 13T brushed? In the cahrt it says that running a 17t pinion would leave me with a FDR of 8.00, but with a 23 t pinion it would be FDR of 5.91 what does this mean would 5.91 cook my esc? whats a good way to test taht its okay?

Hey guys I need a new pinion gear for when i get my new 12t brushed LRP V10 5 12X2. Its for a yokomo mr4-tc sd, my question is what size would be alright?Is 17t pinion alrite? its for bashing moslty with a bit of racing and also whats the difference with 32 dp, 48dp and 64dp? A little bit confused on this matter any help is really appreciated as I dnt want to harm my set up.

Will it cut out at 3.4v? or whatever it is when lipos get low voltage and need cutting off to stop killing the battery? if not what other ways can I tell when the batteries getting to that point sorry im a bit of a noob on lipos!

so is it possible to run the sensored on a hobbyking 60a? Just been looking there seems to be a lot more sensored motors than sensorless, are the hobbyking motor good? up to what turn motor would a 60a hobbyking take up to?

I need to find some of the above it's for the servo arm to connect to the servo itself if you know what i mean by this, Where can i get some? Also are the ball stud ends all the same size even for the servo arm to fit into the ball cup, are they the same as the ones on the steering ball studs? please help as i am a complete noob at rc car parts

it will be for bashing and maybe a bit of racing in the future. and yes it will be 2s lipo. I can't find any spare spur gears to fit are they unviersal? I would like to get maybe a 8.5 t motor but im not sure could you give any guidance on a resonable pionion to use on a 5.5t,8.5t,12t etc?

I'm going brushless in my two new cars I have bought. I am looking at buying a hobbyking 60a esc. Will any brushless motor work with it or does it have to be hobbking? Thanx for the reply you have cleared things up a lot for me so with motor pinions is it the norm to use between 18t-22t region? for brushless. It isnt for the stormracer that went in the bin lol. I dnt know how to add my new cars to the list but it would be for a yokomo mr4 tc sd special and also a x ray t2. as i'm going brushless with the both of them, do i need to change the spur gear? what would the wrong pinion size cause and how would i know i was using the wrong size? If i gt a 8.5 turn brushless would a 18t pinion be okay and then would that do for a 5.5 as well?

I'm thinking about going brushless in my new car, What size pinion do I need say for a 6 turn brushless motor? Also what does the kv mean? is it the higher the kv rating the faster the motor? I'm also confused by the brushless turn system. I'm thinking about getting a ansmann 2.4 ghz radio. I now have a standard acoms techniplus 27hz, Will the servos be compatible with the new 2.4 ghz system i know i will have to change the reciever but will my old servos fit into the receiver? If not which ones do I need?

I have just successfully bought one of the above of e bay, It's just the rolling chassis you get so i am just asking what bodyshell do they take is it the 190mm ones? what wheels fit hex size etc? anyone with any information would be appreciated thank you.

thanx, It doesnt stall if I have it standing it's just when i go to adjust the lsn I dnt know if im pressing to hard cos the throttle control moves so cutting of air to the engine. I've tried what you said but it still stalls if i screw the lsn..

tried this today, i cnt get the lsn every time i go near it to adjust it the engine cuts out, its very awkward to get to and see if you are actually adjusting the screw is this normal? It doesnt really seem to boggy from start but i don't know what it should be like if you get what I mean lol

Just been out tonight trying to tune my Kyosho fazer GP, I seem (or think) I have the HSN needle set correctly now because it half a turn away from stalling at full throttle with a nice trail of smoke, But i'm having trouble with the LSN its very tricky to get to on this car and when ig o to adjust it, the car cuts out. Also sometimes the car will stall at idle can people point me in the direction to where i'm going wrong as i am new to nitro and its a right headache.
