  2. This the new craze? I've had a frame sitting to one side since the end of the summer to try and build a quad copter with. I was intentionally going fpv first, but I have been told by others just build a basic copter to start to see if it suits you. Some people just cant get into it.

Frames aren't overly expensive, and if you do decide to head for a frame suited to mounting video/fpv gear too your best practicing with a cheap easily replaceable frame first.

  3. Some one say my name? :P Just by chance I checked the forum and this was at the top of the list

Been so busy recently hardly have the time to check the forums or work on the cars. Tried to organize a meet a month or two ago but heard back from no one.

Just about to head away on holiday for two weeks today but I'd be up for a meet of some sort shortly after I come back, but in saying that I've a Uni resit to do shortly after I come back.

Wouldnt mind a go with the Apache :P quite fancy one myself.

How about that? Get a meet in before the end of august and try and make it a monthly thing possibility depending how many people are still around.

good to see you around though, where about are you?

  4. I've just got round to replacing the blown transformer on my other fusion and now the other is giving me grief.

Basically whenever the battery is nearly charged it starts beeping and says "Check the batt - Open circuit"

Only seems to happen when the balance plug is plugged in and happens on both my 2s and 3s lipos + Life's

Any idea why that would be?

  5. the fan is powered of the ESC. if you run 3s the fan will get too much voltage.

just cut the wires where they meet the board, and then add wire with a Rx plug(hobby shops will have them)

that will power the fan off the Rx and give the fan the proper voltage no matter what battery you run.

on 2s lipo, the caldera is quick. on 3s, it can wheely! on 3s it will be just as fast as the earthquake.

    You in the right thread?
