Go big or go home!! I'm in the process of gathering all the bits for a 1m tall kossel with a duet powered board. I'm hoping for around a 500mm build height - I probably should have just done this in the first place but never mind ;) Have half of it and other half in the post still.

How's it printing Baorevo? They have a serious cool factor built in.

    wow thats gonne be a heck of a delta !!!! i only get 300mm hight (only :P ) 500 is huge .

Prints great and its a trip just watching it lol  , i wanted one for a while now (had to sell a drone to finance it but i still have a few left hehe)

It's part of the fun, ;) Also gave me the chance to put the new main board on, which is snug and running well.

What have you managed to print so far with the Ninja flex?

i wanted to put the vidéo's on the page so it shows the screen and not the link but i dont know how now the forums changed lol ............ do you ?

Printer is back together and seems to be running alright. The quality isn't great, but I just need to iron out some issues again.

I'm still getting better results from Cura than using Simplify3d....

Sorry to see they gave you so much greif !!! i feel rotten having advised you to put the bushings in !!! im over the moon with mine .......... sorry about that :( .

at the moment im getting the settings and adjustments right for the ninjaflex

  5. Strange the problems youve got with the bushings :(  i swapped out mine and cleaned the rods and that was it.

Its a shame because they are so quiet and will last a lot longer than bearings , i can imagine the frustration if they arent working !!!!!!

  6. For the heat we are fine as i had the house built 4 years ago and the insulation is great we keep the whole house at 21-22 °C all winter and its constant day and night..... printer is running great at these temperatures :) . the temperatures not much of a problem anyway for pla but for abs and exotic  filaments that's when you need a warmer environment .

Interesting stuff. The European distributor has some mark up though, $35 from USA and 65E from Europe? It's pricey but if it helps keep prints down. I'm still printing pla on hairspray happily

Yeah the european seller is a joke !!! i bought direct from the USA 13 dollars postage

!! im happy with hairspray too but you know what its like lol

Woohoo! The glow in the dark is cool! Not amazing quality filament, but it's totally for the cool factor.

My bushings arrived but haven't had time to fit them.

What is this zebra plate? :)

zebra plate does the same as the hairspray and gluestick but better and no cleaning !!!! im a lazy git lol just put it in place of the glass   http://www.printinz.com/zebra-plates/ i ordered the bq plate as its the right size its just missing the corners.

  9. got a couple of low poly starwars figures done and prints are coming out really nice, Got some glow in the dark filament after seeing Vr5fx filament , once its charged with light it really glows strong. Ordered some ninja flex as i got half the 13th month paid so i felt flush enough to order some seeing as its a bit expensive.... looking forward to trying it out ..

Also ordered a Zebra plate from printinz.com , supposed to be the beez knees !!!!!!!

  10. Well ive been running the printer with bushings now for a couple of week and they run great !!!!! they really are smooth (no grease  on the rods they like nice clean rods as they are self lubricating).

the printer is quieter there is just the motor noise now but i like that lol....

Hope you do get another Tami. :D

I ordered some of those bushes, as well as a new control board. ^_^

I bought a smashed up RC off here a few days back, printing some parts for it to try and get it road worthy again. Woo.

what controll board are you getting ?

How many bushes are needed? Is it 2 per bearing?

    My bearings are really loud.

Yes 2 bushes per bearing so 2 packs are enough

The result is incredible lol no more bearing noise so the fan and motors sound loud hehe

  13. As a bit off a test after hearing great things about them i have swapped out all the cheap bearings for SF-1 self lubricating bushings in these adapters http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:878675.

The bushes are these http://fr.aliexpress.com/item/10pcs-Wear-Resisting-SF-1-Self-Lubricating-Bearing-Bushing-8mm-x-10mm-x-12mm/32275233980.html?isOrigTitle=true&isOrig=true#extend .

Worked wonders for the bearing noise !!!!! makes the machine a lot quieter and they will last considerably longer than the im8uu chinese bearings ...

  14. i just set up a raspberry pi with a cam to be a cam server (took me a week to work out how to do it as i needed port forwarding on my rooter) now i can follow my prints from anywhere on my mobile phone ..........
