A pile of boxes with castle motor boxes inside ( cms36 at that... ); you have proven nothing- the 'sirius' splashed across the picture is a nice touch though.
Cue 'They're photoshopp....' Owait
Oh and Neil, check the pictures again, There are some 2650's and 2200's on the boxes too.
-
My Chinese ESC hasn't burn't up yet btw Neil.

In which case when all the decent brands are gone, and all that is left is poorly supported Chinese brands, you'll live happy knowing you have reaped what you have sewn.
My cheap Hobbywing ESC's have lasted nearly 3times longer than my mates castle MMP's ... looks like they're gone already

Buy good or buy twice
-
I have heard the 3.3 engine eats conrods, so check that out.
-
hmm i was going to send this "noob" some spline adaptors for free...
Having watched the thread unravel...I'm glad i didnt get round to it
Anger never gets results
He won't want them.
He's selling up.

Yes this stuff, http://www.modelspor...-products/34432
Edit* you might not even need the tape, i didn't but some people have used it.
-
For the tape? i would use at least 2 layers going across each other..
i used one layer of goo for a 1/10 buggy shell, was fine... but you can do 2 or 3 depending on how rigid/strong you want the shell.
Could do an experiment and see what works the best
-
Must have missed that part ...
But yeah just cover the weak parts then, i.e the body mounting holes, bumpers maybe and sides?
-
I think what some people have done, is cover the shell in fiber tape then cover the whole shell in an even layer of shoe goo.
I have fixed cracks in shells with shoe goo and works a treat
-
Depends on what you mean by worrying.
If you mean crashing into people and hurting them or damaged peoples property then yes i think a majority or all of the people in the hobby do care, but if you're worried about breaking a part of your car then you're being a bit silly unless it is an expensive part i.e engine, motor, battery ETC....
Driving, Braking and re-building is inevitable and will happen. It's just all part of the hobby.
-
Yes forgot to say that my radios have built in failsafes but will not work if servo burns out at full throttle.
Set your failsafe for 3/4 breaking, enough to stop the car safely and without burning the servo out.
-
See if your Radio equipment has a failsafe and set it to breaking mode...
Or get a failsafe, like this one, it comes with instructions on how to set-up ETC...

These solve a lot of run aways!

i like the life time replacement plan. might make me switch from flighmax/tunrigy lipos to venom
TBH unless you're racing there isn't much point...
For the Price Turnigy LiPo especially have A lot higher C rating and MAH rating.
The Venom LiPos have a lot lower C rating a long with their average 4500+ MAH rating
-
What a great idea. Hope the cheaper brands jump onto this too.
10000mah woah
-
You could have got this answered in your last two threads.

Nice
Wtf
-
woo!
do I win anything?
Wanna cookie?
-
That's disgusting. The rear end just looks so wrong.
-
Sorry to say dude, but you wont get any upgrades, the car won't handle any 'strong' motors or anything of the sort.
The reason being this is a toy grade car, you would need something hobby grade if you want to be able to rebuild, upgrade ETC.
-
Broke a rod end, then put another one on - going to order RPM rod ends
-
Just looked on their site, and tbh its great, has like all the necessary upgrades for some cars that you could possibly need!
