  1. Certainly hope you guys get the site sorted. You deserve somewhere to run properly. I've been mega busy getting my track built. Still an awful lot to do, but today we took delivery of our first lot of astro turf. Still got another two loads to come yet.
  2. Ask nicely and someone will usually be happy to pit for you.
  3. I've raced at Coventry and there have been a couple of electric buggies there. The electric buggies were just as quick as the nitro's, but when it comes to pitting you lose time because it's way quicker to top up a fuel tank than it is to change a battery.
  4. Awesome band to go and watch. Just one of the many times I've seen them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSAHHd7q8BU&feature=related
  5. Too right any car will hurt. I was marshalling mini that had crashed at Ardent and someone drove into my foot rather than slowing. I broke my big toe. Yesterday at Frankley a marshal got hit with a 8th nitro buggy whilst marshalling a crashed buggy. He wasn't even on the track when this other car came off a jump sideways and straight into him. He wasn't hurt, but wasn't too happy either.
  6. Your doing well Dave with no breakages. I thought it was compulsory for the Stoke Bashers to break their cars on a regular basis. lol I was racing again yesterday. This time at Frankley on astro turf, but it's that worn out it's more like a grass track. Drove like a muppet so didn't finish well, but had loads of fun all the same. Racing on astro turf usually means a fairly clean buggy by the end of the day. Frankley proves this isn't always true.................
  7. I've been running with the JQ The Car a bit lately and it handles absolutely brilliantly. I can definitely recommend it.
  8. Like Daz said, go on practise days and you can use it as a bash, just you have to go in the right direction otherwise it would cause serious crashes and damage and you'd end up being banned. It's only 'serious' on race days and even then it's nowhere near as serious as on road racing, unless of course your a top rated racer.
  9. That big double in front of the rostrum is awesome if you want big air. In the video of the racing the cars don't fly as much because for speed you need to be landing on the down slope. Go big and you lose time, but go big and you really can go HUGE! I doubt you'd get bored going round in one direction because you 'need' for try and go quicker and quicker. That middle rythem section is tough to get right, but once you get the fell for it it's very satisfying. As for getting a BRCA membership it's worth it even for general bashing because of the 3rd party insurance cover. Get sued without that liability cover and it could cost you a fortune. Imagine if you hit a kid at Fenton, these days parents wouldn't hesitate in suing. To run at a race track you would have to have BRCA membership, but for
  10. Well I was testing around the Frankley track yesterday and racing at NDOR today. NDOR is an amazing track with loads of big air jumps that make the Fenton BMX look extremely tame indeed. Got to admit that rallyx racing is loads more fun than simple bashing and all in all much more running. It's very laid back and nothing like as intensive as touring cars or the other on road classes. I'd highly recommend trying it at least once. I'm hooked.
  11. My eldest has come and taken his PS3 leaving me games and no way to play them. :-( Now I've got to save for a new one and then start everything over again. And going through GT5 right from the start when I was on level 39 isn't something I'm particularly looking forward to doing.
  12. Ski goggles are good and can be bought pretty cheaply. Keeps the wind out of your eye's and because I've got long hair, it keeps that out too.
  13. Foolish is all I can say. A friend of mine lost a finger and was blinded in one eye due to messing with aerosols when the can exploded. Not a good thing for children to see and try and copy.
  14. The rx doesn't have an led to flash. Do you mean the esc is just flashing, meaning it requires training?
  15. Well I put the G3.0 in mine and it was loads better for it.
  16. Sponge should do the trick. It's the wind blowing over the little cut outs in the camera body that causes the noise. The sponge totally stops that from happening. I've always used the sponge trick right from my first video camera 30 years ago, so fingers crossed it will work on this little thin thing I've got now.
  17. The camera is a slim one the size of a mobile phone. I'll be putting some sponge over the mic area for it's next use. You can see the mic in the top right of the picture.
  18. No wonder the rear diff action of the MT2 was a bit rough.
  19. This is what I was doing last Sunday and will be again this coming Saturday and Sunday. So much more fun than just bashing and very challenging.
  20. Royal Mail are a waste of time, DHL are lying tw*ts who say they have called and you were out, then their delivery driver calls 3 days later and admits the office lied because she's the only one in this area! I've used UK Mail a lot and always found them to be very good.
  21. First day racing in RallyX with my Losi 8ight. What a fantastic day. :)

  22. It's a killer for the shell when you land with the nose too high. It's so weak across the rear wheel arches. Suppose the answer is to land cleaner. lol
  23. That engine would be fine, although it's very nearly
