My son has been bashing with his Tamiya Plasma Edge for a year or so and wants to join in at the DMS racing club meets near us. Had one practice evening and realised that a few upgrades would make life easier and more reliable.
We are getting some GPM oil racing shocks and metal suspension bits but would appreciate advice on getting a 2.4 Ghz radio. He prefers pistol grip and I also expect to graduate to more advanced cars with lipo and brushless in due course. How much for a quality unit and what makes are recommended?
Also is it worth getting a brushless motor now or waiting for a better car etc
