Finally got round to fitting the CV boot, what a pain in the back side it was. It should have took me an hour or so, 3 hours later i finished! It start to be a pain when i tried to stretch the boot over the jointm with plenty of lube. No i failed at that even with lube before Ahmet makes a comment lol. So i took the surclip off with a screw drive and cable tie, then got the ball joint remover to tap it off. Once off, it was simple to replace and put back together. The next job was to top up the gearbox oil. First off i could not find the level hole! But after 20 minutes of looking and some help from a mate i found it. To top it up i had to remove the intercooler pipes and move the battery tray a little bit to get my huge hands in lol, all sorted now Still need to find what it causing the knocking noise though!!!!!!!!!!! Yes indeed lol I was driving in the motorway and the spanner light came on, once i got off the junction that i needed it went! So i got home and plugged the opcom in and the only problem it would find was this! Any suggestions! Gav
