  1. Dust Cloud

    SOLD

Pair of Vapextech 4300mah batteries 8.4volts. I bought them for my Summit but switched to lipo so not used them much. Outer shrink wrap got scuffed hence the black tape on one of the packs.
  2. Never had a problem in the past either so I don't know why they have started this carry on. You normaly get 12 months warranty with any product from ebuyer or anyone else for that matter. I was asked if I wanted a replacement before I sent it back but they accepted the goods back and told me in an email I was getting a partial refund instead. Now I don't have the product to send back to G-Skill. Be nice if I had the option.
  3. Anybody come across any issues with returning items to Ebuyer lately? I just returned a G-Skill DDR3 memory kit I bought last September as faulty and they refused a replacement even though it was in stock and they deducted a fiver from my refund because it was more than 6 months old. Never heard of such bull**** in my life! The product has a lifetime warranty with G-Skill. If this is how Ebuyer are going to behave then I am done with them.
  4. I worked for a small independant PC shop for 2 years then in the business sales department of PC world for 6 months. If you put the PC World technicians in a small shop they would have been excellent, but they have to work to PC Worlds policies and that restricts them in many ways. PC World extended warranty is one of the worst as they own the warranty company and generate big profits from it. Other retailers simply sell an insurance policy under written by someone else.
  5. You can't compare political debate with Big Brother. Political debate has been going on for centuries. First Ministers question time today was an extension of last nights debate and my opinion has not changed much since my last post. People need to take this seriously as we are going have to make a choice soon.
  6. I watched some of the live debate last night and there were some powerful arguments made for independance. "India and ireland didn't consider wether they could afford it when they opted for independance" Then when Nicola Sturgeon quoted export stastistics from Scotland to England, the Lib dem bloke Wallace fell flat on his face when he claimed those exports would be lost under independance and then failed to explain why when challenged by Nicola. The debate made the SNP look strong and the opposition weak and rather pathetic. I must admit I am swayed a bit more towards independance now.
  7. According to the papers, some tory MP's are campaigning to have the RAF tornado squadron moved to England from lossiemouth, despite the decision having already having been made. Typical petty minded behaviour which got them kicked out of Scotland in the first place. SNP have done things for scotland which no other party has, but although I support them there is no way I would vote for independance. I grew up in the highlands and there has never been a way for the local population to generate any sort of wealth. Any money to create jobs has to come up from the south and the oil will disappear just like every other industry before it.
  8. I got the mount from willpower in 5 days from placing the order. although I maybe just got lucky tbh.
  9. Chap in the bank has a point there. If your wage has not been cut yet then they have no figures to work with. In your position I would take a pair of scissors to my credit card and work on paying of that debt first as it will likely be the highest interest rate. When you find out how much income you will be receiving you can work out a budget and look into benefits which might be available. Ultimately you need proper upto date advice as benifit rules and bank attitudes to debt will have changed in the last few years because of the financial crisis so advice based on the experience of forum members may no longer be valid.
  10. I was surprised how light the chassis is compared to the Slash 4x4 so I don't see a problem running a decent 540 motor to get you up and running on a budget. I don't think a really cheap 540 setup will cope, so a low cost 1/8 setup like my leopard 2000Kv motor and a Hobbywing 120 amp ESC for
  11. If your income is low then you may qualify for housing benefit as you are in rented property. i think you have to apply to the council for it but your local DSS would have the details.
  12. The big story here is the new radio system. It might seem a bit of a gimmick but it makes Traxxas stand out from the competition. The car is a real attention grabber and perfect for show casing their new technology.
  13. I never had any issues running my Slash 4x4 on 3S either. When you consider that it is 4WD and the rustler is 2WD it's not likely there is an issue with 3S in a Rustler. It's a myth created by people who overgeared their Rustlers in the pursuit of speed. Most people likely charge their lipos under the maximum allowed C rating because most of us have cheap chargers. It's not an issue, well not for me anyhow.
  14. I had that clicking at least once on my slash. Tell buyer to remove screws from rear sub assembly and check it is aligned correctly. I am sure it was caused by that on mine after a hard landing.. Certainly not going to be a sudden diff failure in my opinion. It sounds like the drive train so it should be easily fixable.
  15. Those alloy shock caps really work but i found the damage occurs elswhere instead. My last big impact resulted in the shock upper mounting screw being wrenched out of the shock tower. Sometimes it's better to have a weak point thats easily fixable.
  16. Stock tyres will work as well as anything else in mud I guess.
  17. The RPM wide bumper for the Rustler will add more to its durability than any other part in my experience. Mine has stood up to many full speed impacts with solid objects.
  18. I run Ezrun and hobbyking ESC's in the wet and snow and never had a problem. I do dry the car out afterwards and spray with WD40. Unless you submerge the car in water the electrics usually only get a few drops on them and snow is not wet until it melts so I dry the car out upside down.
  19. Traxxas will stick some new bodywork and bumpers on their Slash 4x4 . They already made it into a monster truck after all so it would not be much of a task for them. Or an Erevo if they want to go larger.
  20. I was wondering how that works. I coudn't figure it out. I am pretty clueless about facebook anyhow. lol
  21. Your slipper clutch is slipping. Tighten right up and try again.
  22. It wont be a competative crawler but will be pretty good from a fun point of view. Sometimes the stock tyres work just as well but it depends on the surface you are on. Climbing across rock faces will be better with the crawler tyres but sometimes the wider stock tyres are better on smaller rocks as they are less likely to wedge into gaps between rocks.
