@ Teaman in the years i have been porting engines for myself and friends i have not had a engine fail on me premature from the porting procedure when i first started porting about 8 years ago i used to pratice on damaged engines and i also had alot of help ad advice from a big name in the porting industry at the time so i was lucky on that aspect i am not putting the guy down for trying if you dont try these things you will not know if its something viable for you also when porting you really should make minor changes when first starting out so you know how much diffrance each stage of the porting procedure props for trying just a shame it died on you

if you split would love a price on the soldering iron could do with a new one

A Testament that you really should leave this kind of work to people that know what they are doing i have been porting and polishing nitro engines for many years now not quite sure how you managed to totlay kill it but sorry to hear it failed on you time to call someone in the know

just another thing we are getting screwed on these days mate mine went up £80 from last year i have been driving for over 10 years now i think about it my insurance hasent gone down much atall in 10 years of driving and i have neaver claimed or had a accident its a bloody joke

Hi mate first off nice one on getting the hpi savage its a very tough and fun car to start off with i am sure you will have alot of fun Qith regards to the steering servo the one that comes as stock in the "older" HPI savage is a awfull servo it dosent have enough torque to turn the wheels as they are very large the ideal thing would be to upgrade the servo to something much better this will be a majour improvement to the savage the only thing is to work out how much your willing to spend on a deicent servo once you have worked out your budget then i am sure you will get some advice on what servo to upgrade to best of luck and have fun

Problem is baja hopups are extremly over priced so there is and always will be a market for people who want upgrades but dont have the spare cash to buy the higher end hopups its a sad but growing market especialy in these times where the cost does impact our decissions i dont have a problem with clones personly because i know they wont last as well as a orignal part and most people find this out sooner or later
