Hi,
I've just got a new MBP so my old laptop is up for sale. I'm the second owner, first was my friend who treated it like a ming vase. I've had it about 3.5/years I think. It was me through 2 years at 6th form so I've used it a fair amount with my photography. I upgraded the RAM to 4GB when I got it so it is maxed out now. It handles Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6 quite well IMO, certainly not bad for a 6 year old machine. It does run with the fans on all the time though if you're editing. I can leave PS/LR4 on the machine if the buyer wants, if not I'll do a reset. It's got a 160GB HD so you will need some external storage for it. The battery release catch is a bit dodgy and as such I've not touched it since I changed the RAM. The battery itself is OK, condition is reported as normal and the cycle count is 1150 at last count. This may go up as it is used a little still. The charging lead does not normally start charging the laptop immediately after plugging it in, you will need to fiddle/swap/move it about a bit before it will start charging the battery. It will power the laptop even if you do not get it right, just not charge the battery. There is a small split in the insulation of the charging lead, one the thin lead that goes to the laptop. The screen sometimes goes a bit funny with red pixels showing where dark colours are - I have tried to show this in the photos - however if you adjust the angle of the screen it goes away and returns to normal. It's not a huge problem so I've never had it looked at.
External condition, there are lots of small scratches on the exterior case and one particularly deep one (pictured). Internal case there is splitting along the top where the screen joins the exterior and also on the bottom right. This is common with these laptops.
Will come in original box with the charger and a blue padded sleeve.
To be honest, I'd rather do a F2F deal and make sure the buyer is 100% happy with the laptop. It still functions 100% normally once you've got the charging lead in 'right' and is great for editing on the fly. If you do buy it and need it posting then returning it would be at your own cost postage wise should you feel my description not right, however I feel I have described it very well.
I don't think
