almighty15
Seriously, my rear wheel ( Spur gear side ) keeps shearing every pin and screw I put through it. It's done it again twice today! The wheel on the pull starter side has never sheared anything it's only the one side. I'm looking at getting some hardened nuts and bolts for the job as it's getting silly now. Does anyone know what might be causing this or a way to stop it from happening? Edited April 12, 2015 by almighty15

flatout!
Are you using the bolt in the end of the shaft to tighten the pin up, to keep it in place?
almighty15
Yup...... still shears them off.... although the holes in the drive cup look a little worn so I'm going to order a new one. So with the titanium rod it shouldn't be easy to shear.
flatout!
If the holes in the hub shaft is getting bigger then there's your problem kid, its giving it a chance to snatch against the wall of it, giving it a good old wack and snapping it, if that made sense
