  1. The brakes werent getting wet the first couple of times but once they have. The bolts are coming loose in the carriers i checked them. Hmm i may just have to get new servo's then, might aswell upgrade both.
  2. Hi all, Abit of a weird one, when taking my hpi trophy out for a bash the steering afters about 10 mintues is half what it was before ( bigger turning circles, full lock to the right is only half the amount ). I presumed it was the crappy aa batterys so i bought a brand new hump pack from modelsport and it still does it?. Same with the brakes as well when i first take it out the brakes are sharpish and work fully, after 10 mintues full brake is only half?. I have checked there isnt anything blocking the the steering arms etcc and same for brakes. I have reset the both arms by taking them off and positioning them but still nothing? The person i boughht the car from only got a year and half or so ago. Am i right in saying it could be blth servo.s on the way out? There both standard btw. No upgrades or hop ups apart from the hump pack and custom mud guards.
  3. Thanks for the reply, it does sometimes hesistate then go when i full throttle it so hopefully this will sort it out aswell.
  4. Hi all, Took my hpi trophy 4.6 truggy out earlier today and at first it would not start at all, took glow plug out, cycled engine then put it back it and heated the black engine casing with a hair dryer until it was fairly warm( before doing this i did accidently spill a couple of drops of fuel inside the engine heatsink but the glow plug was in and wiped it up with some tissue. it then started A couple of pulls later. Took it steady 1/3 throttling for a couple of mintues then was bashing it in a local park on grass. A couple of mintues later i drove the car near me to check how much fuel was left and noticed on driving back there was a small bit of clear smoke was coming from the engine heatsink. I immediality turned the car off and let it cool down. The car on return was only going full speed then It seemed like either i loss some power for a couple of seconds or it was the semi wet/tall grass i really dont know. Now thinking about it im not sure if that smoke was just the fuel that i spilt or the engine was over heating?. the heatsink wasnt srotching hot just normal and i didnt have a temperature gun to hand to check how hot it actually was. Took the glow plug out and it all seemed fine not burnt or nothing?, put after run oil in and pulled the pullstart a couple of times and everything seemed fine. Just wondering what you guys think and how i could check if the engine actually did over heat?.
  5. True there are bettery tx on the market.
  6. Just taken mine out today for the first proper run! All i can say is whoa! Took it to the local park as its always empty on sundays and is currently under going some work. A few little jumps here and there. The truggy handled the rocky, gravel, wet terrain very well!, my first upgrade is deffo servo's as they were slacking. On full throttle the car sometimes hesistaited then went so abit of tuning will sort that out but overall ver good. Spent the best part of an hour cleaning the thing after this evening bash but it was worth it. Need to look into getting some mudguards, does anyone know the best suited ones for a truggy?. I will try and upload some pics in a short while
  7. would you recommend me to get this reciever pack pack and charger or are there better items more suited for trophy 4.6? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/modelsport-uk-6v-receiver-battery-and-charger-pack-hump-pack-/rc-car-products/24135
  8. Dont remember the last time i've eaten ice cream from the tub loool, was thinking is it worth buying a revolving stand from modelsport or not
  9. Hi all, just wondering what stand you all have for your hpi trophys?
  10. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has created a battery mod to allow a hump/flat battey pack for the transmitter to run off just like a battery mod was created for the flysky FS-GT3B?
  11. The guy I purchasedit off assured me everything was kept in a secure dry place which is good. What glow plug what you recommend for the colder weather?
  12. Picked up my Trophy truggy 4.6 today , cleaned it last night, might take out for a spin tomorrow. It came with 20% model techniks fuel which the guy said thats what he's been running it on. Should i use the rest of 5 litre bottle? ( about 4 litres left ) then change glow plug and nitro to 25% and a better brand?
  13. Hi all, just a quick question now its getting cold what glow plug do you recommend?
