  1. Hey! Thanks for the reply, that was really fantastic, just what I was looking for. Thanks for taking the time to write that!
  2. Thanks very much mate! It's great for help on here
  3. Hello all. I've searched here and Google with no results. I've just purchased a supercub with a 480 brushed motor and this battery. I'm guessing it has 3 cells that can go to a minimum of 3v each, so 9v. This would mean I can use 2.1v of battery power? I've read a few guides but haven't really been able to get my head around it. Basically I'm wondering how long my cub can be flown without damaging the battery, I am thinking around 10 minutes full throttle would be about right? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
  4. Hello all. My FG Marder is up for sale. I'm only selling it to give planes a try. I'm after
  5. Just rebinded the tx and rx and it now failsafes back to idle, thank you very much for the help!
  6. I'll give that a try and report back, cheers
  7. I'll give that a whirl, would that set it up so that it'll return to idle rather than blasting across a field? I haven't messed with the trims. Thanks again for the reply awesome advice there!
  8. Hey no problems dude It's an FG Marder I have, it has a Spektrum dx3 tx and Spektrum rx. I am guessing this is quite an old set up I'm using. On the old servo it used to go back to idle in these situations, but is on a new servo from an encounter with done water (rx box was dry so I don't think the rx took water) I'm just stumped with it and I'm currently looking to sell the car and move over to planes, but I won't sell it until I have this issue fixed. Thanks again.
  9. Cheers for the reply! I don't shut off the transmitter first usually, I did that whilst the car was up on top of my tool box to try and make the problem appear, as if it had gone out of range or similar conditions, as I'm unsure why this problem has occurred. I don't currently have a fail safe fitted to the car (I know, I know, stupid, lesson learnt) Thanks again for the reply!
  10. Hello guys and girls of msuk! I have a problem with my throttle/brake servo. It's a new servo, the problem I have is that when my transmitter is shut off the servo goes to its default setting, such winds the throttle open, it did this yesterday resulting in a runaway. I have adjusted the bar that sits on the servo but this prevents the throttle opening past around 25%. I'm hoping that this is an easy fix to the more knowledgeable folk here. Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the replies guys! I think it'll be a long time before it goes near a beach again. I've ran it today and it runs and revs well, although I've noticed it's spitting black oil out of itself, I can't remember if it's still puffing the typical blue 2 stroke smoke or not. Is this cause for worry or not? Might have always done this and I've just noticed it now. Thanks!
  12. Hello again. This weekend I was at Southport beach with some friends, the car was running nicely and well. A friend was driving and ran into an pool of salt water, the car cut out, we got it to run again and it tried to run away and cut out again. I've since stripped it down and it had destroyed the throttle brake servo. That night I got it home and rinsed it with fresh water, the next morning I covered the intake and electronics and cleaned it all down, and wd40'd the lot. It runs nicely and idles and revs right through the rev range. My worry is that the air filter was wet, so I'm assuming the engine took water on and blew it back out when we fired it up, which is amazing if it's not damaged anything. Will the salt water potentially stay in the cylinder and ruin it? I'd hope it's cleared it, but thought I'd ask you guys. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the reply! Some awesome advice there, is it a bit dodgy regarding the fpv then? That was going to be one of the reasons I'd go for one, to watch the footage back and such. Any reason not to fly alone? I'm guessing either it looks like you're up to no good or that it's because they're worth a lot. Yeah the noise of the car I guess sounds a bit like a mx bike, so might draw the crowds in also, thanks again.
  14. Cheers for the reply yeah I suppose it does, I think it's the noise of the petrol motor, which I'm a big fan of, but I guess it doesn't help with people noticing it.
