My friend is thinking about selling it now, does anyone know how much a savage xl5.9 is worth? It's in excellent condition just got the drive issue :/ also has a few spare parts. 2 body shells, roto start and the usual nitro stuff

Yeah I'm stumped too, I double checked the clutch and everything seems to be fine with it. Thanks for you help most appreciated!

No it all shimmed out correctly

Yeah I have checked them too, the savage is literally like new, a freind bought it from a mate with the clutch gone (due to a clutch bell bearing failure) so I replaced the clutch and now this problem has happened.

Yeah I've had the gearbox apart and tighten all grub screws :/

Cheers for the suggestion but I checked the slipper when I tightened it and the pin was still in its place

I'm having trouble with a savage xl k5.9, it starts fine, tune is good and I have just fitted a new clutch. The trouble I'm having is it engages drive moves a bit then stop and it will rev on the spot. I can slowly pick up speed and it ill be fine but under WOT it dis engages drive and the spur and pinion gear are left spinning freely. I have tightened the slipper clutch and checked the gearbox and there doesn't seem anything wrong can anybody shed some light on this problem please? Cheers Rich

One of my work friend used this lot to air brush his gsxr and it came out alright. Hope this helps
